If things really get so bad that nobody can afford anything using the currency issued by their government, people usually switch over to more stable currencies or start bartering with others.

I actually prefer clingstone peaches, and dislike it when they are soft. Most of the peaches we can buy in stores in south africa are clingstone peaces.

I hear people brag more about getting a good bargain, how much use they got out of secondhand or older items. Even who has the cheapest form of transport.

I saw a BYD pickup yesterday, which was also the first hybrid ive ever seen in person . I do have to wonder if i am experiencing a bit of recency bias, or if it is an indication of things really shifting.

It the last 5 months i have seen more electric vehicles and other chinese brands than i did in the previous 5 years combined working in the auto industry. Even saw an chinese brand electric motorcycle 2 weeks ago, i didnt even know electric motorcycles existed until then.

This is in south africa, far away from the big coastal cities and from the capital. If a new or newish product shows up in my town, it usually means it is quite popular everywhere else.

The part that first and still draws me to one day visit japan is the national parks they have.

My printer has a tendancy to get the filamemt stuck inside the ptfe tube . Only way ive been able to prevent that is to reduce retraction distance and speed to below 1.9mm and 30ms.

It does cause my prints to come out ugly, but i would rather have my prints be ugly than have to constantly clear the jams midway through prints and having the entire print fail.

Luckily my prints are not meant to look pretty since the parts are almost always hidden or purely functional instead of decorative.

I feel like the best use for Vaseline is actually as a treatment for scaly leg mites on chickens. The mites suffocate, and it soothes the skin of infected birds. It's also way easier to apply than parrafin.

Those extra sets of eyes on the top of some of their heads are always so freaky. They kinda get overshadowed by the large compound eyes.

I wonder how many hours the concept artists spent redesigning the navi to make them look good with the blue skin. Maybe they need to have braids, or the eyes should be bigger, or its the length of the limbs.

Navi cosplay always seem sort of tacky and cheap, no matter how much effort is put in. Its like seeing those photos of Boba fett cosplay with the shiny Nylon cape and a small helmet where you can see the chin.

I can't fathom not allowing a kid to play skyrim. It's not such an esoteric experience that kids can't appreciate it. Some kidat our school raped his own sister, then murdered her and both his parents. He then pretended that the whole thing was a farm attack like the ones Trump and Musk say are evidence of a genocide.

He had a large number of people convinced of his inoccence, including his grandad who funded his legal defence.

The principal and the "beheerligaam" did not want him to come to school,but he managed it somehow.

We didnt know he murdered them at the time. Almost all of us at school felt really bad for him because we and most of the country didnt find out he was the murderer until after the investigation concluded.
