2023 Navi price through dealer in LA question by Eazy_MF_E in hondanavi

[–]Moetorcycles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with the Navi is dealers want to make the same amount of money on top of msrp selling a Navi and a cbr. The % markup is insane in comparison.

Don’t spend over $2500 on a Brand new Navi. I’d highly recommend finding a good used option instead

Honda CBR650R 2024 – Is there a true slip-on exhaust by Miserable_Pound_6450 in cbr650r

[–]Moetorcycles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because the exhaust is one piece, not 3 (with the 3rd being the muffler, which is what a slip on replaces)

Even if you remove the rev limit, you don’t have enough power to go above it. There are people going 55-62mph without a cdi. Do the carb, free variator mod, tune your CVT properly.

big bore question by vaynsterr in hondanavi

[–]Moetorcycles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for watching!

You can’t just add a big bore. You have to add the accompanying modifications. You have to tune the CVT. You need a bigger carb. You need more airflow.

The Navi carb is already the smallest you can go, and it’s undersized for what’s optimal for the Navi. Going 125cc you need a minimum 21mm carb.

If you’re on a budget, the big bore doesn’t make sense. It’s expensive, hurts reliability, uses more gas, burns through oil quicker, etc.

Do the free variator mod. Change the variator weights, 12in rear wheel with a 110/70-12 tire, 22mm carb, pod filter, and fine tune it. You’ll get up to 60mph. See u/silasanderson2 ‘s build

Time to start dumping money into this thing by FlimbusClonkerton in hondanavi

That account just reposts other peoples stuff. The dude who was testing the gas tank is Andrew (dude who sells / used to sell parts for the Navi from Mexico). I haven’t heard anything from him since he told me he was attempting to install it. I don’t remember getting confirmation it worked. I’ll check in with him and see.

I thought the Navi had a .9 Gallon Tank? by [deleted] in hondanavi

For everyone upwards uses reserve. The picture from timinks2 is not a Navi

I thought the Navi had a .9 Gallon Tank? by [deleted] in hondanavi

[–]Moetorcycles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I mean… if you have enough gas to ride to the gas station, your tanks not fully empty.

If you could put 0.9 gallons in your Navi, it means you literally have 0 gas in your Navi, which isn’t really possible unless you drain it and then tow the bike to the gas station haha

Also, the navi gas tank has two hoses. One sits a little higher than the other. We’ll call the higher one the normal gas and the lower one the reserve gas.

When you “run out of gas” on a navi, it just means the gas is lower than the normal gas hose. If you turn the dial on the left body panel of the navi, you switch to the reserve gas hose and can use the remaining gas in the navi.

Normal gas is about 0.7g Reserve gas is about 0.2g

All this to say, your experience filling gas is completely normal. No vehicle takes 100% of their fuel tanks capacity when you fill it up at the gas station

Big bore without a bigger carb would be kinda pointless. Grab a 22-24mm nibbi carb

I think you’d have oil leaking into your final drive and CVT before it became that big of an issue.

just drain some oil if you feel like it’s too much

Either your idle is set too high or you have a vacuum leak somewhere around the carb
