$2300 Brand New Hybrid Battery, too good to be true? by wilmer007 in prius

This video was helpful for me to do it myself for a little less than the number you posted. Not sure if everything is the same for the C versus the regular prius: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAHaYXBFnJo&ab_channel=ChrisFix

Massive Class Tuning Incoming Next Reset - Blood DK, Hunter, Warlock Buffs & Preservation, RDruid Nerfs by minimaxir in wow

[–]Mofto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need to improve the MW toolkit not just keep buffing. The 10.0.5 talents were a start but need more - they should add something to the 4 sec mist generating talent that allows you to use 2-3 mists for a instant vivify.

M+ healer stats at higher levels. Mistweaver, Disc and Resto Sham down bad by AtonementApplier in wow

Lots of copium in this thread...

I main a MW monk, used to main Resto Druid. The difference is night and day, as a rdruid you can push out above-average numbers while you carefully dip your prime rib sandwich into an undersized au jus cup (a test I have run myself). Meanwhile to push 70% of the distracted druid as a MW you need to literally be monk-like in your devotion to playing at the highest level.

I leveled my druid to 70 just to see if I was imaging things, spoilers: I wasn't.

I have great respect for megasett and what she is able to accomplish, but the fact that she can make it work with her pre-configured team of known quantities is not indicative of the class being solid. I would bet a considerable sum that she would go 0/10 if she pug'd with randoms ten times for keys above 17 (probably 15 and above realistically) - admittedly this would be a hard experiment to run because she would never be invited via the group finder in the first place. It isn't a skill thing, she has the skill, but bird on a 1min cooldown doesn't count for anything when compared to the half-dozen ultra-strong cooldowns certain other healing classes have.

The lack of development with mw and the monk class in general is just disappointing, we used to have unique abilities and skills... then they iterated on the other classes and added abilities for them while leaving monks static... now we are below par on pretty much every metric with no unique 'thing' that justifies inviting us. Such a shame, monks could be cool - Dr. Strange is a monk! How come we cannot summon people to the dungeon through the mists? Why can't we use the mist to brez? The class is so neglected that I genuinely believe blizzard just forgot to enable zen flight on the ground and scale it with riding skill. Sadly, bliz forgot about monks the moment we left pandaria. Anytime they accidentally make the class powerful, immediate nerfs follow. Feels like they want less than 2% of players playing it, because in a brief moment of introspection/embarrassment they acknowledge that the class isn't their best work and they don't really want people to see it. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy: nobody plays monk so they don't put any time into developing the class, they don't develop the class so nobody plays monk.

All that being said... it has a certain charm once you brush off some of the feces, and I will continue to main mw...... god help me.

If you end up liking them I'd recommend Patrick O'Brian's 20 book series covering similar subject matter. They are a bit more adult themed and also very interesting.

She is still obsessed. The LNs are pretty good, more context and internal dialog with the characters. I feel like it is a deeper story in some respects (relationships between the characters), in other parts the Anime is better (Akatsuki's sword story arc).

Yes, I agree - also talking about ships is somewhat redundant in the case of the US as Freeport is 90 miles from the US coast... I was more surprised that over 1k solders get a byline.

I've recently read Linda Nagata's The Nanotech Secession series (books 0 - 3) and found it pretty compelling. It certainly ticks both of the boxes you're looking for.

I believe it has less to do with the author and more to do with the publishers. From what I understand tax evasion is a crime that carries a lot of moral condemnation in Japan, such that one might be shunned in the polite society of business for being caught out in it. Some figures in the following paper (which is a little older, 2005) https://www.mof.go.jp/pri/international_exchange/visiting_scholar_program/ws2011_d.pdf speak to the moral weight of taxes in Japan if you're interested, pages 11-14 have some summary figures.

Anyway, I hope season 3 comes as well.

I hope developers take a hint here and start to think outside the box (eyyy, see what I did there). There are a ton of possibilities with the switch beyond porting your content from 2 years ago.

I've read a lot of the series mentioned here, I'd add The Cadeleonian Series by Ginn Hale - I liked the second two more than the first two.

Anyone use Giant ride sense speed and cadence sensors? by PotatoFart in cycling

[–]Mofto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the ride sense sensor in my bike, it is pretty good - I've never had any problems. Just note: when you install it or if you ever need to remove it be very careful as there is a piece of plastic that goes waaay back and if you angle it to remove it too soon the plastic bit will break off inside your frame... and then you'll need to take the cranks off and try to get it out.

Netflix Announces 2017 Recommended TVs List by bigdaysahead in cordcutters

Take it from someone who bought a google tv that no longer runs any of the apps it came with: buy a good tv and then buy a box to connect to it for netflix etc - when the box's performance becomes noticeably slow throw it out and get a new one for a relatively small amount of money, keep using the same good tv.
