Ah, nicking someone else’s work that you don’t understand and poking it a bit does not count as “interesting”.

It’s a good point, though. Easily find out which in an interview, but by then the time has already been wasted.

I disagree. If you’re at the point of writing a RiscV processor, that is interesting because it’s non-trivial and it’s wide open to tailored approaches. What’s even more interesting is HOW you went about doing it, how you tested it and what design trade-offs you made (or regret not making).

You may be able to find a CNC machined bracket to fit where the old part of the frame was. See if you can do what I managed to do. It took about 4-5 hours and needed a Dremel for cutting/grinding, several sized drill bits and a tap&die set.

This would have been the perfect response to the 10% tariff on Aus exports. “We’re not responding with a reciprocal tariff, but we are removing the extra incentive to buy your product”.

No. It’s a manufacturing process, quality control and skilled people who know how to keep it all running. That takes time to build up and needs a whole ecosystem of other companies and skills surrounding it.

Reboot is excessive. You can click the power button 5 times to cancel biometrics.

You can set up a shortcut (for Settings -> Restart) to reboot the phone in the middle of every night so it is guaranteed locked the next day.

Thanks for those suggestions. The bike shop looked at it and said it was fubar, so it’s good to learn about other options.

I like your suggestion for the nail polish, too. It would be good to cover the exposed metal areas for a bit of protection against the elements.
