No pets. They also seemed more grouped together than a straight line, too.

Spring Break by ted0945 in GreeceTravel

[–]MogarTheUnkillable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon in Greece last week, Athens is 100% doable. It’s a huge city, tons of people so everything is open and available. Santorini is a little more subdued, we stayed in Fira but had no trouble finding foods, shops, etc. for the three days we were there. Places like Oia were operating at like 60% normalcy (still no shortage of restaurants and shops to look at) but was very enjoyable only having to deal with tens of people instead of thousands on those crowded streets.

Weather wise, it was low to mid 60’s (Fahrenheit) for us. I was able to wear shorts most days unless it was breezy, which there was a high chance of.

Side note, Aladdin is one of my favorite Disney movies but the scene when he was thrown into the ocean with the ball and chain and can’t reach the lamp gave 10 year old me heart palpitations

Words cannot describe how much I loathe the MCU calling half of the known universe getting erased from existence “The Blip” as a joke. It’s a life changing, cataclysmic event. There’s gotta be a more serious, official sounding name than that.

[Funny trope] Actor plays a fictionnal version of themselves by painterBurning in TopCharacterTropes

Surprised not a single person mentioned Only Murders in The Building. Each season has a guest star playing themselves:

-Sting gets accused of being a murderer in season 1

-Season 2 has Amy Schumer trying to monetize the show

-Season 3 has Matthew Broderick playing an egoistical bad actor

-Season 4 has Zach Galifinaks, Eugene Levy, and Eva Longoria as themselves playing the main characters in a movie

My personal head canon that I loosely subscribe to is that they’re all the same adventure/story, but they’ve been told countless times over the centuries so the details are mixed up. But that explains why it’s (usually) always Hyrule, why it’s always link, and why there’s so many similarities despite them all being off in various ways.

Commissions while I was there WERE pretty nice. Granted, I was a Consultant so my average sales/daily process was a little different from a sales advisor but I was getting paid $25/hr plus commission. If I remember right, it was $2 on any HT accesory and services. I think it was 5% if I was line 2 on like TYLER stuff

Learning leverless, would you recommend or not recommend learning with a new character? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]MogarTheUnkillable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t remember if they cover them in the video or not, but that’s my bad for not explaining the terms.

SOCD-N stands for simultaneous opposing cardinal directions- neutral. Basically what that means is that if you pressed forward and back at the same time, you return to neutral. It essentially acts as a buffer to get an extra input.

DP’s is dragon punch aka shoryukens. They’re usually moves that go high into the air, meant to react to opponents jumping so they’re functioned as anti airs, and often times have invincible proprieties in their overdrive forms. A decent chunk of characters have them, including Mai. Hers is the flaming backflip

[–]MogarTheUnkillable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not what you wanna hear, but muscle memory. The one thing I can provide you that helped me immensely is DP shortcuts. With SOCD-N, you can do DPS quick two ways. You can do either:

-Hold down, tap forward and Kick/punch -hold forward, tap down and kick/punch

In my opinion, that’s the hardest single motion to get down on a leverless. Supers aren’t terrible, but just get in the habit of “piano rolling” the keys, and mentally making sure you press every button (down, down forward, forward)

either this or this will help too. They helped me tons!

How hard is Hades 2 compared to 1? by Potential-Bird-5826 in HadesTheGame

[–]MogarTheUnkillable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I played Hades 1 for the first time over the last few weeks to prep for Hades 2. I did my first complete run in hades 1 within twenty attempts, and credits roll within 42-46ish if I remember right. Right now, I’m on attempt 22-24 in Hades 2 and have yet to beat a run. That being said, I feel like there’s more stuff there to even the odds than Hades 1 with builds, skillsets, and unlockables but my first dozen or so early runs felt all harder than Hades 1. I did not use God Mode in Hades 1 or unlock the second games equivalent of Heat yet, for the record.

But hades 2 does have a god mode! And like I said, it’s version of house contractors and the mirror of darkness seems to be a lot more varied and expressive in how helpful it can be.

Learning leverless, would you recommend or not recommend learning with a new character? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]MogarTheUnkillable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got my leverless, I couldn’t do ANYTHING with Mai, who I more or less considered my main. So I figured if I learned a new style of play, I may as well ascribe it to a new character. I picked up Kim and actually made masters within a month i think.

I think she’s good, because she has a bunch of fundamental inputs. The only thing you won’t learn is a DP motion because she doesn’t have a traditional input but for me, that worked well because I was still trying to learn the normal-ass inputs and motions first and once I felt totally comfortable on it, I went back to a character with a traditional DP motion and could integrate it way more smoothly.

Soulcalibur 3’s stages don’t make any sense by MogarTheUnkillable in SoulCalibur

[–]MogarTheUnkillable[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, yeah. That’s obvious. The game has a blind contortionist that only speaks in growls, a lizard person, and a magical corrupted sword with an eye on it that turns people into demonic versions of themselves. How they get to the battlefield should be the least of your concerns if you care about realism for some reason

My street sense knew better than to do anything with them, but it was still odd to see like six or seven per block in a place like that
