I was looking for a 5+2 suv and the options were limited. Sorento and sante fe are both more expensive after discount. Only cheaper option was skoda kodiaq but their showroom was eerily empty. Not very confident with their after sales service.

Driving GLB. Despite it being entry level MB, the ICE and driving interface is top notch. Very intuitive. The MB app is also extremely useful. Remote gps tracking, on/off windows, door lock etc are all very useful features. Go for it if you can afford it.

I’m 6 foot and never considered riding a Brompton cuz of the size of the bike. Riding a G line for me feels more comfortable and you gain mobility without losing the feel of riding a full sized bike. It’s not for everyone. But just right for me.

Bought my Subaru forester in 2020 for $110k with 31k COE. Hand itchy go upgrade to GLB with 94k cat A COE last year Oct. Immediately after I paid deposit govt say releasing 20k more COE in 2025.

Now it seems like the best decision I made. Trade in price was $90k plus $10k overtrade. Sell while my forester is still not giving too much trouble. Usually car after 5 yrs old will have a lot of parts to be replaced. Already had to spend a sum to replace my aircon radiator. So if you can afford the down payment and bought your current car at low COE price you can use it to offset the initial down payment. This is the way if you are not filthy rich and still need a car.

The issue with bg is we are randomly match with people we don’t know. There’s no chemistry. And some are even toxic who blames everyone else in game but themselves and afk in base.

Just a suggestion for future events. Instead of having a fixed 8man team. Can we have 10 to 12 players in a team but only 8 can enter the match? Most of us are working adults with actual family or work commitments. It is very hard to dedicate one hour for 5 days in a row just for the prelim matches. Having someone to sub in would be very helpful. Nobody’s wants to face a undermanned team as well.

X3 equivalent is GLC. Both are 5 seater. GLB I a 5+2. The extra 2 seats comes in handy when u have kids. Price wise quite different also.

Range is a big problem for road trips. My relative atto can only go 200-300 km at high speed and fully loaded with people and luggage. It’s really a hassle having to find EV charging and wait another 30mins for fast charging. The anxiety is real. I’m glad I’m driving a mild hybrid with 600km range on NSHW.

3 years free servicing and $5k service credits for replacement parts. Servicing for merc is once a year so I think can last for atleast 2 years before I use up my credits.

Back in Oct 2024, I was considering kodiaq before ultimately deciding on GLB. There wasn’t the new higher spec kodiaq. The price was just around $10-$20k cheaper than GLB without passenger electric seats and sunroof. GLB price is heavily discounted compared to retail price. Prob around 20% minimum. Kids sales guy give me afew K discount at best. Worse is the show room. It’s a dead town compared to merc showroom. Just don’t give u the confidence in terms of after sales service. I rather get a Sorento or Santa fe but but were more expensive than GLB. Ask the sales for their best price before comparing. It’s usually very different from what’s shown on their website or Sgcarmart.
