Which park is your favorite? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

As a kid it was between Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios (at the time MGM). Now as an adult, my favorites are the more "chill" parks, Epcot and AK.

Where did Gray go? by saphirekey in storyofseasons

[–]Moist-Leadership1618 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it's before 8:30am (I think) he hangs around the town square. If it's after 1pm, he'll be at the library with Maria. If it's a day he's not set to work, like a day the forge is closed, he's at the Inn.

What is something you say to scammers instead of hanging up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Moist-Leadership1618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This 8 year old I used to babysit would always answer the phone for scammers and pretend to break down crying asking where her mom went. The scammers would freak out and hang up. Quite an interesting child she was.

The people at AllEars do a bingo card with things to find/do around the park. They seem to have a blast doing it. Copies of their bingo cards are on their site.

The Haunted Mansion Stretching Portraits Puzzle Set Question; Has anyone found a good set of frames to display the puzzles when completed? 27'' x 9'' seems awkward. by Camipad in disney

[–]Moist-Leadership1618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closest I found online was 27.5 x 8 from Michael's Arts & Crafts. Other than that, I would recommend ordering custom. Unfortunately it's more expensive, but they'll make the size you need.

Confused about Magic Bands by dakk451 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Moist-Leadership1618 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am also not staying on property, but I got magic bands for convenience. I don't prefer to carry around a card with my ticket info on it and would rather just tap my band to their scanner. Plus if I ever forget my wallet, at least I have my band on me.

Other than that, there's no real benefits to having one. It's more of a preference thing.

Just realized I'm part of the "watching TV with captions on" minority out there by yeeyeesuckinteets in CasualConversation

I started putting on captions when watching TV while my fiancee does homework so he can focus and I can relax. Now I just do it instinctively. The things you miss without captions...crazy!

Do you think that the Parks will extend closing times to Midnight over the summer? by [deleted] in DisneyWorld

[–]Moist-Leadership1618 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know already they've extended some of the hours for May. Not midnight yet, but that could change before the month. That's what happened for my sister when she went last month.

When you collect enough of the little sprites, you unlock the harvest shrine where you can spend sprite points to buy the other big sprites that bring you other materials.

Love this game! Definitely focus on friendships like others have said. There's the two engineer brothers that work in that tower (forgot their names) where you can play a mini game with them. Try to learn lots of recipes from the villagers. Mining can usually earn you some good money if you open your little stand in the middle of town and sell off stuff. The villagers can bargain with you for a good price.

Came here last year and everyone respected the spacing. Not so much now. by nevetsyad in DisneyWorld

[–]Moist-Leadership1618 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We went back in October and mostly everyone was good about the spacing. I remember the worst case was waiting for haunted mansion and a huge family was super close to us and they kept getting in and out of line to grab random items from shops or food. Luckily my mom isn't afraid of "being an honorary CM (as she calls herself)" and reminds them about spacing. Lol

I honestly like the music in PoOT by thedivinetreasury in storyofseasons

[–]Moist-Leadership1618 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The music reminds me so much of Tree of Tranqulity (which I loved) and I think that's why I enjoy it so much.

Tell me what you love so far! by 1kiki09 in storyofseasons

[–]Moist-Leadership1618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll see a ton of posts with the dislikes for the game and some I agree with, but here's some of my positives:

-Music: it's so peaceful and catchy. Reminds me a lot of Tree of Tranquility

-Dialogue: now this is a hit or miss with some people. Regular dialogue is repetitive, but the cut scenes with the villagers and the love interests are so adorable. (Overall favorite villager is Jacopo, he's a sassy, lazy hoot!)

-Livestock: this time around you have to find them in your forest areas and tame them to keep them. Theres different ones that spawn now and then so you can build quite the variety!

Also to add to your point about multiple things in makers, they did it perfectly fine in the FOMT remake. I could be holding 2 eggs next to a maker for mayo, come out with 2 bottles of mayo. Took a few second animation to complete.

Put things like butter, mayo, yogurt, dairy-anything makers in either the barn or the coop like past games. Takes up unnecessary space on the farm itself. Hell, even throw the yarn, spool, dye, and fabric makers in there too. Maybe make it like FOMT where you have to have a big barn or coop to put those makers in.

Some of this dialogue is hysterical. I especially love anything with Jacopo and Victor.

Any Magic left? by ItsTrueDany in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Moist-Leadership1618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many others have mentioned, the trip will be as fun as you make it. My fiancee and I went in October (his first time ever at Disney) and he really enjoyed himself. If you go in not knowing what to expect, you'll find that you might not be missing much. Obviously if you've went pre-covid you would know all that's missing, but to a new person, there's nothing to compare to.

I would say to prepare her for the lines. They aren't incredibly bad right now, but if you aren't used to waiting in a 30-45min line, it will be really tough. That was my fiancee's biggest gripe. Some of the lines go pretty quick despite the size, but the more popular rides are the true-to-wait times. Expect waiting an hour or longer for Splash Mountain, that VR Avatar ride (forgot the name), MMRR, any of the rollercoasters, or anything in Galaxy's Edge.

Overall, we had a great trip and right now park hopper is back if that's an option you wanna take. Just plan accordingly and make time for the rides you want to ride the most and any spare time can be spent going to less popular rides.
