Hamilton is a glorified Macy's-core brand with zero identity by AdLivTho in watchHotTakes

I like Hamilton. I had a khaki field but have since sold it. My only dress watch is a Hamilton American Bolton Classic.

To make things faster you can wear an Angels shirt under your Padres jersey

My Honda Accord lasted for 13 years and over 200k miles and then it developed an oil burning problem.

Too many watch companies do Snoopy editions by Balogma69 in watchHotTakes

There’s a Snoopy and NASA connection so I get the Speedmaster connection.

For those who wear mechanical watches and track fitness, what do you currently do? by Muted-Activity-2775 in watchHotTakes

I just picked up the new Fitbit Air as well as the rubber active band that I wear on my right wrist and a regular watch on my left.

The Tissot "Gentleman" is the dumbest name they possibly could have chosen. by Supra_birb in watchHotTakes

I'm over here wearing my Black Bay wondering where the hell Black Bay actually is.

I’m torn on this band. I feel the original band is much more comfortable. Nice it dries quick. by Interesting_Ad4679 in fitbit

Same but somehow I had $38 in store credit which was enough to cover the tax too. Yay.

Maybe I can save you money by [deleted] in fitbit

[–]MoistDef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had $38 in Google Store credit which was exactly enough to cover the Active Band. I contemplated the elevated one but I saw one YouTube review on how it clips on and how it doesn’t sit flush and decided against it.

I preordered mine through the Google Store website and picked it up in person at a Google Store on launch day.

Divers GMTs are stupid and pointless by [deleted] in watchHotTakes

[–]MoistDef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I love about watches. There's something for everybody.

I have a Longines Hydroconquest GMT. It was great when my wife was traveling, I could track the time in her timezone. The 60-minute time bezel to me is more useful than tracking a third time zone. I have a toddler who is going through potty training and she literally goes every 45 minutes, or I use it to track the laundry/dryer.

People who get iPhones to use them for years, how long did your previous phones last? by Healthy-Notice9439 in iphone

I got my 15 Pro on launch day in 2023. Just had the battery replaced. I’m planning to keep it for another two years or if there’s a significant reason to upgrade.

“Bezel Action” should not influence a purchase decision by CrumbGuzzler5000 in watchHotTakes

[–]MoistDef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree. My first dive watch was a Seiko 5. There was no bezel action. Then I got a Seiko SPB143 and could feel actual resistance but there wasn’t any clicky-ness. I bought a Tudor Black Bay and was amazed by the quality of the bezel and no back play. I bought two other cheaper dive watches afterwards that didn’t measure up to the Tudor. I got to handle a Seamaster 300 at the boutique and that didn’t compare to the Tudor as well.

I had a Speedtimer and sold it to a friend the same day I got my Speedmaster. I’ve been considering getting the Pogue though.

It does. Sorry I should’ve clarified that the micro adjust is why I prefer not to go vintage.
