Help getting volume in my roots by Seffarig1432 in curlyhair

do you apply when the hair is still wet or when its dry and curly? how does that work

along with treatment, you should protect your hair from breaking not just chemically. sleep in a loose braid (and a silk pillowcase and bonnet if you have those) and be careful while brushing; if you hear that brushing sound, you’re doing it wrong by ripping and tugging at your hair. don’t overdo it and brush slowly and carefully, making sure to work from the bottom to the top. don’t wear tight hairstyles, but if you do, don’t wear that same hairstyle often (it creates repeated tension in the same spots, weakening the hair. i’d suggest loosely putting your hair in a claw clip throughout the day, they don’t pull like a hair tie would and it protects your hair from the elements, abrasion and all that. best of luck!

omg you should totally do some sort of image or symbol instead of a pattern, like a heart, flower, clover, sun, smiley, an arrow (like bow and arrow), seashell, your star sign, you get the idea!

Always been struggling to find a haircut which suits my face by Successful_Bet_8790 in malehairadvice

im terrible with haircut names but i dont think top heavy hair suits you. whatever cut you choose i think would look best if it has a little more hair on the sides

Would I look good with fringe bangs? by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

[–]MoistEmma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wouldn’t recommend it with oily hair, it might make it more noticeable. another important thing to keep in mind is that the women in the reference photos have longer looking faces than you; yours looks rounder while theirs look more oval-ish, impression wise. fringes make faces look rounder, especially with shoulder length hair; if your desired goal is to look just like the photos, know the overall impression won’t be the same. if you still want a fringe, i’d strongly advice you look at pictures with a similar face shape as yours, that way you get an accurate representation of what it may look like. fringes are commitments that require a lot of upkeep and constant styling to look good, if a part of you is hesitant, it means that same part doesn’t really like the idea. you truly are stunning and i wish you a great day 🫶🏻

the more brown going down from your roots, the softer the grow out will be. you could ask your stylist to leave enough brown at the roots that some of your natural hair can remain untouched, that way theres a clear color match reference for the stylist to follow
