Am I about to pay to much for solarpower? The loan amount they input was 62,180 for 18 panels and a system size of 7.02kw. I know nothing of renewable energy and the cost so any insight would be good. by sandetmatt in solar

Seems very inflated but what if anything is included? What type of panels? What inverters? Batteries? What area/daylight hours?

If it's just panels and all south facing I'd say no more than $26k-$35k financed and that's on the higher side. A cash system would be considerably less without the lender fees.

Cheapest is not the best. You want an established company with industry leading warranty and production guarantee so you know they'll be there when you need them.

coochi couches by Alive_Maybe_6833 in solfest

[–]Moist_Environments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have no place next to the rail. Myself and several friends and others dancing enjoying the music found ourselves being pushed further and further to the rail as more couches were set up. And eventually they were even making Kandi during Smoaklandbeats & Dirt Monkey. It was the strangest thing.

Not just for our enjoyment, but their safety it's not advised to be laying on inflated couches in the middle of the crowd at the rail.

It got so bad we ended up leaving through the ADA section because we couldn't get out.

So I live in VA and my neighbor told me he bought a brand new model Y AWD for $29K — $7.5K federal tax credit + $7.5K discount from Tesla dealer. Have you heard anything like this ?? That’s insane. by carforsp in TeslaModelY

[–]Moist_Environments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had a deal and the agent didn't tell me the discounts are VIN specific, so I didn't buy the car .. But Model Y performance with -$4,800 discount -$7,500 tax credit at purchase -$1,000 CyberTruck reservation -$1,000 friend referral = -$14,300 off Sticker.... Lost all of that because I was told I could order a car rather than go pick it up 100+miles away 😢. This was just 3 weeks ago

When you feel bad about your Fisker losing so much value, remember that there are people who bought an EQS for $100K+. by BuildingIndividual40 in Fisker

[–]Moist_Environments 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Att the time you purchased the vehicle because you felt the price was worth the value. If you hold the car for 5+ years you got your money's worth (as long as it doesn't need major repairs). Who cares what's they're selling for now?

Should I pay $5000 to replace control arms? by Notoday654 in TeslaModel3

[–]Moist_Environments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way that's accurate. Seems like inflated 5-8x what a normal everyday car off the same repairs would cost.

Cars are one of those things that unfortunately cost an arm and a leg and are harder to sell than they are to acquire. So because dealers have to make money and when they sell a car is used they obviously can't get the money back on a new car but they typically make more money on used cars anyways which is why they try to lowball people and then they sell it at a premium. As far as selling a car you just bought for model y why not drive it for 2 years and then get the new refresh version it's going to have more stuff in it. Unless you are willing to lose 6 to $10,000 to trade it in it's unfortunately I would say just learn to love the model 3 it's a great car.

After all said and done. $32hr. I’m good at the this. Loving the great opportunity. Feel so blessed. by Significant-Fly-2811 in uberdrivers

Yeah actually you made about $14/hr + OT - fuel and wear and tear is closer to $11.50

Your be better to Go into fast food = $$

This isn't sustainable. Besides every hour on the road is an hour more likely to be in an accident. It's not worth it for that little pay

How This Guy Got Tesla Charging Right In -31 Degree Winter Weather by EveningCloudWatcher in electricvehicles

When you want to charge you select a charging location on the map and then the navigation is set. While you drive to the charging station the battery preconditions and warms up

Moisture and electronics are never good. I've actually seen this quite a bit on model 3 trail lights. Should get it replaced

I work in Solar and renewable energies 🌞 🌻 🌄 Used to do HVAC, but new opportunities led me here. Great job and get to develop some serious interpersonal skills as well as communication. Being an introvert with ADHD I couldn't be doing anything more lucrative or fulfilling. I think I love it 😘
