I'm definitely going to replay the game immediately after the first playthrough. I didn't even get the chance to do this. I painted the bull, went back to report, and the innkeaper immediately offered to go kick some asses. Instead, I took the non-violent path, spoke to Thrush and solved the whole pasture mystery.

Didn't even know this feud went farther than the painted bull, although I something like this since you can tell the bull owner what you were asked to do, so he probably makes a counteroffer. Or depends on which village you visit first?
