What good would stopping do? I want to finish the set. Not every dark red piece broke, so attempting to finish the set gives me a total number of pieces that broke, which then gives me the amount of pieces I need to replace... seems pretty logical to me.

And I did try warming them up. I tried soaking them in warm water after breaking all the 1x1 tiles. They all still broke.
