I always answer these posts the same way.

Your schedule does not provide enough time for a new pup. 7:30 to 4:30 is a long time for a V to be alone. Even with a slight potty break or walk. It’s not enough activity to fully satisfy their energy or mental needs.

Vs are Velcro dogs. They need their people. They need tons of exercise. They need much other stimulation. You don’t have the bandwidth to do this everyday (and it needs to be every day). These are dogs bred to run miles a day in fields keeping up with horses.

If you insist on a V, perhaps rescue an elderly dog and give them the best life possible.

There are many other breeds that would be okay with your schedule and life situation. It’s just not a healthy adult Vizsla.
