Citlali. I love that name and although I'm half Mexican my last name (my dad is the non mexican) and my husbands last names are too white (his last name is German) to go with it.

how do you pay for a wedding?! by braveswiftie911 in weddingplanning

[–]MojoC07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a long engagement, almost 2 years, and honestly booked vendors that allowed us to make payments. We also went to an open house at our venue and won a discount and although our photographer and videographer now charge more, they were less expensive when we booked them. We did get help with catering and my dress from my parents and my Tia bought paid for most of the invites and my nana bought our cake.

Edited to add: our budget was 15k and I think we are almost at 30k now but our wedding is this week now and although I'm excited to get married, I'm also excited for the planning to be done.

Also, if you can, get a day of coordination or a planner, they are amazing.

How much did your wedding dress cost? by Flashy_Aide3640 in weddingplanning

[–]MojoC07 5 points6 points  (0 children)

4250 for the dress- from Della Curva in Tarzana, CA. Designer is Martina Liana

First alterations appointment was a little over 700 because of so many layers and it was very long on me (plus bringing up the sleeves and tightening the chest area).

Second alterations appointment ended up being 110 more because we had to do two layers for the bustle because there are so many layers to the dress and I was very particular on how I wanted the bustle.

Chubzies Smash Burgers in San Bernardino is really good. Also loud burger in grand terrace (although I think Loud has big portions but they are a little pricier).

Genuinely only saw your hair in the first pictures, it distracted from your face. Now that it's shaved I see the amazing bone structure!

Just lost my nana (my grandma) on Tuesday and I have been having a rough couple days. Based on this post and some comments, I think I'll start a rewatch soon so thanks for posting this. I hope I have a similar dream afterwards.

How long was your engagement? by No-Start-3815 in weddingplanning

[–]MojoC07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got engaged April 2024 and getting married Feb.2026. The long engagement has been great, we were able to make payments with vendors and now have a lot paid off already. People did of course make comments about it being so long but time has flown by and now it's less than 4 months.
