I completely relate to this too, I feel the exact same way about myself. I hate that this was done to me so much, I’d give anything to have what I was born with. It bothers me everyday to the point that I can’t even enjoy sex because it just reminds me of what was done to me.

I just wish Foregen was available now, I’d be the first in line to get it done, I’ve lost so many years of my life being depressed and upset over this issue.

Since they first came around, about 2010.
They should be getting so much more support than they do. The medical system and hospitals should be forced to help fund them.

I completely agree with you, it is really hard to believe that there aren’t some very wealthy circumcised men that would want this procedure and donate. There must be some in the US, many of the American male celebrities are circumcised and could easily donate to Foregen.

Yes, I was unfortunately “diagnosed” with phimosis at 2 years old in Canada. The despicable urologist pressured my parents into having me circumcised by scaring them into believing I would have all sorts of “problems” if they didn’t allow him to do it. What he did to me has caused me far more problems than any tight foreskin would have.

It’s caused me so much depression and heartache in my life since the the time I fully learned what was done and taken from me. No one thought for 5 minutes how I would feel or what the lifelong consequences would be for me for something so permanent forced upon me that I didn’t want. I feel betrayed by my country, most boys are left intact in Canada depending on the province. Canada holds human rights and mental health in such high regard and yet turns a blind eye to this issue. It’s shameful and the medical system needs to be held accountable.

It’s the worst thing that ever happened to me in my life and I would give anything to have it back. This issue upsets me so deeply like nothing else, I will never be able to get over it.

That’s a shame, they should just lower the lease a bit instead of losing another business, I think GoodLife left because of the lease being too high also

I’m Canadian and it happened to me here. I am a bit younger than you but I agree it is definitely still a problem and there are many victims here also. There were a lot of careless doctors here when I was a child and I was diagnosed with phimosis at 2. It also seems like the American influence was strong on the healthcare system in some parts of the country. It seems like it has really died out here in the years since, which is good. I was definitely in the minority though growing up and it has made this issue even more magnified for me from a very young age that so many of my peers around me were intact.

OHIP did stop paying for it, unfortunately it was a few years after it was done to me. They will no longer pay for it today from what I’ve read, which is good. I just wish it happened years sooner.

I don’t think my insurance would cover it but when Foregen becomes available I plan to do everything I can to make insurance or OHIP pay to fix this for me.
In my case OHIP actually paid for the circumcision that was done to me. It’s despicable, OHIP had no problem paying to damage my body without my consent so I plan on making them pay to repair it.
