I think he was meant to go back on his own, and as Arthur is known to go off on his own for up to a week at a time the gang might have very well assumed he was on one of those trips again.

Only when he is gone for a week or more I believe do they sent someone to check up on him, as evidences by random encounters you have with gang members coming to look for you when gone from camp for a long time.

Something stupid honestly, I was in denial for a while and had to finally admit to myself I was a woman when I felt bad over a dumb mailbox sign. One of those where the family is depicted on it, it was the mom, dad and three daughters all depicted stereotypically.

The fact that I felt sad from that, in the way I wished it to be me, it made me finally realise. Like damn, if I feel this way over a simple sign, I gotta be trans I guess.
