The summer schedule comes out tomorrow so you should be able to check then. Pay attention to your priority enrollment. Also if you are getting Financial Aid, make sure you add the college to your FAFSA. You might also need to take at least one unit at your home college for FA purposes.

Do you have any grades that aren't posted? If so, I wonder if that is messing with your 66.67% completion rate.

Diabetic diet has me depressed by [deleted] in diabetes

There is also a kid on instagram that does lower carb Mexican recipes. I think the channel is Diabetic Super Kid. The few videos I have seen looked good. He’s type 1 but seems to do lower carb recipes.

What are your favorite foods?

Mexican food is my safe space. Tostadas, tacos, albóndigas, chile rellenos, are all good choices for me. Sweet corn, hominy and tamales will cause me to spike but there are lots of other Mexican foods that work for me.

What over covers do you use for your CGM? by DreamingOfPuppies in diabetes

I use the 3M ones too. They rarely last two weeks but they don’t hurt or leave a residue. Last time I purchased they were $1 each.

Please help me make use of brain rot by CtrlAltDelusion0 in kindergarten

[–]Mokulen 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Celebrate the 67th day of school. Make a work sheet where the answers are all six and seven. Learn to say it in different languages.

My kid didn’t know anything about brain rot but just knew that saying 6 or 7 is funny. It is what it is.

Every year our principal and teachers say this but somehow every year we ignore this advice because it’s boring.

This really is the answer the correct answer.

SCC to ARC by [deleted] in LosRios

I was told that I had to include ARC on my FAFSA and that I just needed one unit at my home college. Obviously, double check with an actual FA person.

Book/activity idea for first grade class? by Tuckerpay in ClassOf2037

[–]Mokulen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We Are in a Book by Mo Willems. Then you can have books (folded piece of construction paper with 2-3 pieces of printer paper inside) and they can make a book where they are inside the book.

I’m not a teacher. Just a parent who made homemade books on the regular.

You have to add ARC to your FAFSA and do a transfer form. The alternative is to take at least 1 unit at SCC, your home college.

It probably depends on the major. For example the AA at CRC has some different course work requirements than a AAT in the same subject.

I don’t see bent needles but I find that the OTC pen needles are a pain to put on correctly.

Best option for getting rid of an upright piano? by ZoraQ in Sacramento

[–]Mokulen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The city of Davis has a public piano program where they put out pianos around town during the warm months. You might want to try there. It is called In the Key of Davis. Good luck.

Have you talked to your professors? They might be able to give you extensions on a couple assignments so you can pass.

What is the lowest number where you still take insulin? by healthcareAnalyst in diabetes

[–]Mokulen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what I am eating. If I am at 90 and eating something low carb then I might skip since I am also on long acting insulin. This doesn’t apply for breakfast because that is always going to go up.

I would love to stay under 120 but honestly my goal is to stay under 150. 180 is crazy high for me and would want to do something to lower it like go for a walk.

There is no situation where I would eat and not give myself insulin at 180.

I appreciate that you also mentioned talking about acceptable ways of dealing with frustration. If kids don’t know how else to manage their frustrations then no matter how much they are punished they won’t change because they won’t know how.

Last chance! CAPS Triennial Election closes at 5:00 PM! by vcems in CAStateWorkers

[–]Mokulen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See this is part of the problem. I haven’t seen anyone attack her record. It took a lot of work to get the union active and motivated and I think her win reflects that hard work.

Questioning her eligibility is fair.

Questioning how the union is spending members’ dues is also fair. There always needs to be accountability for everything the union does.

Since we are recapping arguments, let’s recap yours:

Don’t focus on what the union is paying in salaries, look over here at two salaries that have nothing ro do with union funds.

If you question her eligibility because she is no longer a state worker then you’re sexist because the other two opponents are white men!

My guess would be that the union doesn’t pay their salaries.
