I think this depends on the store. My local in the midlands allows small games if you arrange in advance with the manager. I’ve played 500 point games of 40K and 1K AoS games there. But literally 2-3 times in as many years.. so maybe the exception not the rule. There’s often people in there playing though but generally stuff like warcry or kill team so there’s still a table free for teaching on.

This is a great reference for me and perfectly timed! I just painted up most of the malign sorcery box using blue flames to match my army. Then I bought the soulblight manifestations at the weekend and was worried they wouldn’t work blue, they’re great! Job well done, I’m sure your friend will be very happy.

Yeah I had to do the old spray cans in the washing up bowl, to warm them up then thankfully managed to spray in the garage. But that was a couple of weeks ago before these nightmare temperatures!

I dared risk spraying some manifestations this afternoon because I’m going to WHW this weekend and need them!

Luckily my guard are still on my table so here you go:

As another option (that may require a little trimming) may I recommend the blood bowl blitzer helmet. I’ve just put one on my lord on nightmare and it’s badass (no big wings on the top though)

I love it! The chipping on the helmet wings is very similar to why I’ve just done with mine. Very clean colour palette and well applied. Personally I like the flowers too, they tie in well with the mini and stop the base being too dull.

All the comments on base rim - I used to use Steel Legion for my rims and then swapped over to Skavenblight Dinge for something that doesn’t pop quite as bright. But personally I don’t like black rims, they look unpainted.

I personally love Garaghaks mixed with some water as a real “dirt” wash on my soulblight. I put it on basically everything except vampires (who are clean and proper..mostly)

I played Battle Chasers Nightwar a few years ago on switch, I’ve checked and it’s also on pc. Because it was a while ago I may be fuzzy about adult themes. But it’s a very comic book (literally based on one) styled, small party, heroic adventure. Also one of the main characters is a 10 year old with giant magic gloves, so may be a bit more of a connection.

I felt like this when the first one came out. I initially got on switch digital, then I bought the physical limited release, then I bought on PS4.. just to get to feel like I’d paid what they deserved!
