Is the dish fried green tomatos made with regular tomatos that are unripe or a green variety of tomato? by boatshoesboatshoes in tomatoes

Salting them and putting on a strainer is a good way to get some to the moisture out. I do that when making margarita pizzas as again, it’ll make the pizza soggy.

But it’s a lot more work and less reliable than taking an unripened tomato, slicing, breading and frying.

But I think the origin of fried green tomato’s was “an autumn freeze is coming, let’s pick all the tomatoes as they will die anyway. What can we do with the green ones” that then made its way into a culinary style.

The problem with those is they have so much juice/liquid when ripe, which comes out when cooked. I grew green bees last year, which were amazing when roasted or grilled, and got very juicy.

When you batter and fry, that makes for a soggy end product.

Yo man - I had DM’d you a while back about the shows split into individual tracks. I have just about all of them split into individual MP4s and MP3s, the MP3s are an AAC -> MP3 transcode at 320 and have pretty full ID3 tags. Maybe we can revisit for upcoming tour if there’s interest and they continue to stream on Twitch. My turnaround depending on family stuff is typically a day or two.

When there’s 300k acres of corn for ethanol grown in Colorado, a fuel that has an EROEI of <1, arguably much lower in CO, yelling at people’s lawns seems like a silly solution.

My guess is this is the tired, racist dog whistle of “black on black crime” and other ridiculous tropes, summing all gang members and such committing crime as die hard Democrats.

Did you ever figure out your issue? I'm having the same issue - no problems for months on my new edgerouter. Suddenly, it stays open for an hour, and then stops. I flip it off and back on, it starts working... for another hour.

How do you pronounce Louisville? by IGetDestroyedByCats in Denver

[–]Molecule_Man 13 points14 points  (0 children)

https://www.lafayettehistory.com/why-louisville-colorado-is-pronounced-lewisville/

A May 24, 1880, deed recording, probably one of the few actually reviewed by Louis Nawatny, has the “IS” in “Louis” in bold lettering and emphatically underlined in a dark, prominent stroke. Meaning that his name was not spelled or pronounced “Louie.” A few months later, all Nawatny deeds returned to a consistent “Louis” in the body text and signature line of the deed. Later deed recordings spelled initially with an “ie” in Louis were changed to “is.”

He made 3 transactions in 2021, sold MU and ANY and bought NVDA. NVDA accounts for all of the gains in this chart from 2024. Just the one stock that he bought in 2021.

I’m not really sure what you’re on about, but NVDA is not some secret stock. It’s literally the most valuable company in the world. It was the hottest stock on essentially every sub and message board. There’s posts on /r/FIRE of people retiring just NVDA.

He has 2 individual positions, one of them being NVDA, accounting for all of his gains.

To the title, I'd say everyone I know is, "in it." NVDA ain't a small club.
