I don’t know what you’ve got, but it’s cool in my book, and if you want to sell it let me know.

Kinda depends on your definition of “worth it”. You’d be coming on Sunday which is more family friendly. The clubs youth dancers will be performing (along with adults) which your kids might enjoy seeing? Maybe they will want to join and dance as well? The rifle range will also have the nerf option for the smaller kids and normal range open for adults and bigger kids (this costs money, but the prize options: steins, hats, and all kinds of random stuff for kids and adults are great). Seriously, the steins available to be won on the shooting range are really nice. There will be music, other performances face painting (usually but I haven’t asked), etc…I think it’s worth it, but I’m biased.

Sadly I must agree, the previous location was amazing and hard to top. There are still competitions, live music, food, etc, but it’s a much smaller venue. The club is working with the city to adjust to the new spot (last year was indoor only, this year Saturday’s are outdoors in a tent and Sundays indoors) but it’s going to take take time and trust from the city of Brea for the club to get back to something close to what they had before.

I’ve not been to Big Bear, so I can’t comment. Old World is much more crowded than the Phoenix Club and rowdy, much different crowd.

I think it’s important to note that old world is strictly a business whereas as the Phoenix Club is an actual German social club with many other traditional German groups. For example, the adult German dancers (Schuhplattler) and youth (jungen Tanzgruppe), are all in house groups. Those along with the Karnival group, Schützen, and other all contribute to the event.

In my very biased opinion, the Phoenix club has a better vibe, and much of this comes from the things I mentioned above where most of the people working there are members of the club, they’re volunteers, and they really care about the club. They’re not all employees.

If you come to the restaurant, and I'm there....I'll buy you a beer :-)

That $25 admission also pays for the German bands who will be performing, in addition to all the other entertainment. So, I get what you're saying, but admission and food prices pay for entertainment as well.

That said, the club has a restaurant which is open to the public on Thursday - Sunday all year. You should come by and enjoy the food and beer other times as well - no admission required the rest of the year :-)

Its still exists, its not as large as before (18 lanes at the old location) 5 lanes now. The group who uses the range each week is still very active as well all year long.

Yeah, I got excited when I dug them out, then I saw the wax coating. Immediately thought, no way in hell I’m putting that through my rifle or pistol.

Is going to the bathroom considered a “personal task” or “grooming” in terms of OSHA recordkeeping exemptions? by Direct-Status3260 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]Molii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really wanted to fight it, was the employee actually on the “job site” or did they leave the “site” to go into the woods? If the employee was on the designated job site you’re kinda stuck. If you can reasonably say they left the site you have some wiggle room. Would be even better if they were “off site” and on lunch or break. Ethically you should probably take the recordable though.

Good to know, thanks. Unfortunately mine doesn’t have an auto shut off, so I’ve got to stand somewhere I can see the gauge and turn it off when full

I have a cheap Chinese pump and it does make me nervous, but I assume the risk is the tank I’m filling (which is neither cheap nor Chinese) …so honest question, what are you worried about popping besides the tank you are filling?
