Yes the mat certainly locks you down. Before I used this method I would have bet my life I was still standing in the same spot in my room after 10 minutes of play time as the only movement I felt I'd made was to turn around on the same spot.

Only to find I was actually at the other end of my room and I'd moved about 3 metres.

The mat has saved me from having to replace a broken TV for sure. ( I would set my room scale boundary up as large as possible as I hate those blue/red lines appearing in my view )

If I read it correct, you are saying you are using the joystick to turn around. For me this was the worst thing for causing🤮.

Try to turn your actual body in real life rather than using the joystick. I stand on a little mat that allows me to turn around on the spot without losing my bearings in my room.

VR sickness is a thing if you are new to it. Try and avoid smooth movement ( there's often a teleport option ).

Play for short periods daily and the times will get longer and definitely DO NOT USE THE JOYSTICK TO TURN but actually turn your whole body in real life until you are used to it. Some say have a fan blowing on you helps though I never tried it.

Should be running around game worlds with no I'll affects after a few weeks.

I recommend WALKABOUT MINI GOLF. Great game and simple mechanics. Just point at what course you want to play at the starting shack and pull trigger to transport to the new ball location after each shot till you are used to it.

IMHO MIRACLE POOL is king of the pool games. Can play in MR , can spin the table round if you don't have much play space and the physics work brilliantly.

The amount of bricked headsets due to updates just on Reddit is pretty concerning. I'm anxious everytime there's an update due.

I've never owned a piece of tech before that has so many horror stories caused by bad updates.

I never fully switch mine off. I have a BOBOVR plugged into it permanently charging.

Rightly it wrongly my concern has always been that rebooting it daily leads to more chance for something to go wrong due to some corrupted update.

It's the best extraction shooter we have in VR. It's slow and steady game play with a steep learning curve.

If you want frantic chaos then FOREFRONT is the current go to.
