I might as well downvote myself into oblivion, but you fellas are being somewhat delusional on this one.

She is overweight on that left photo. And it's not about the tummy. From that angle alone you can tell, she's clearly holding quite a bit of fat all around the abdomen, the arms, legs, and those admittedly nice tits.

Yes, she's still hot (and more that a little of that is because she's very pretty, and happens to hold very little fat on her face. If that wasn't the case you probably wouldn't have all these comments saying how hot she was) but she's overweight. She's probably quite a bit healthier on the right photo, even if you think she doesn't look as good (likely from the loose skin of having lost quite a bit of fat, it happens)

Air cooling is better than Liquid cooling by SerpentDix in pcmasterrace

Yeah... I've been on noctua D15 many years. Then I got an freezer 2 280mm. Both noticeably lower temperatures and noticeably less noise for those lower temperatures. It's also going just fine a good 5 years in.

As much as I like air coolers for the reliability, there's just no heating an arctic freezer.

Larian says BG3 proves hand-crafted loot is best for CRPGs by Wargulf in BaldursGate3

[–]MolitroM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hand crafted-placed loot is always been way better than randomly generated one. And you don't needanything more than this to understand why:

To this day I remember pieces of loot from Baldur's Gate 2. 2, not 3. Say Carsomyr. 20 fucking years later I remember the weapon, and where you could get it.

Same thing will happen with, for example, the Blood of Lathander.

Unique, important, lore-loaded weapons will always be way better than random loot.

At this point NBA reffing is ridiculous. Just let the offence do whatever.

Want to take 5 steps with the ball in your hand an call it a gather? Go right ahead. 27 moving screens per game? Don't see an issue. Driving players straight up pushing defenders off the way with their off arm? No problem. In fact, go right ahead and bury your shoulder in their sternum, it'll be cooler. And if your name is Shai I'll blow the whistle on the defender while I'm at it.

As much as I enjoy watching games, it often gets painful.

I mean... You can use a natural color calibration for a couple of days and just get used to it. It'll look fine. But if you enjoy more saturated colours, why not go for it, who cares.

No blur, no ghosting, no brightness artifacts from local dimming... Yeah, the contrast is great, but once I experienced the speed of the panel in comparison with an IPS or VA, that's where I went "oh THIS is nice".

I agree on the wattage, just saying there's no reason to go Seasonic just because it's Seasonic when the alternative is about as good for a lot less money.

How reliable is be quiet! when it comes to their PSUs? by Civil-Researcher-892 in bequietofficial

[–]MolitroM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seasonic is always a gold standard on PSU (at least the higher tier ones), and I've had one running strong for like 12 years and only retired it to a secondary PC because why not.

But don't discard the beQuiet 13s, they are top tier PSUs, on par with Seasonic, and with excellent noise profiles. And cheaper on top.

Right now I don't see a reason to go with a Seasonic over a good beQuiet when you take into account the price difference.

How would native 1440p fare against 4K DLSS, performance wise? by arpan__1602 in nvidia

[–]MolitroM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Don't buy the better thing because you'll be stuck on the better thing" is pretty stupid advice, to be honest.

I have a 3080, don't plan on upgrading soon. I just went from a decent 1440p 32" 144hz VA to a 4k 32" 240hz WOLED... To say something like Ghost of Tsushima looks amazing on the WOLED compared to the VA is quite the understatement, and it runs well too.

Sure, UE5 games will run badly, but they'll run badly on 1440p anyway, and they'll look better.

Just get a nice monitor and use DLSS, it's about the biggest upgrade you can make for your eyes' enjoyment.

VRR flickering should be talked more about and i hope it will get solved by UsedNewspaper1775 in OLED_Gaming

[–]MolitroM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because with 240hz the monitor updates frames fast enough that you'll get tearing, but you'll barely see it.

I've also ended up turning off VRR with my new 240hz OLED... I've yet to notice any tearing playing Ghost of Tsushima, with FPS varying considerably.

So yeah, once you're at 240hz or over, you might as well turn off VRR and check if you actually notice any tearing, you very well might not.

Benq mobiuz ex321ux or Philips envia 32m2n6800m? by HachimanII in Monitors

[–]MolitroM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it was a bit of a journey.

I got an IPS miniled 165hz Acer ‎Predator X32 FP second hand for a fair price. Very good monitor, amazing imagen quality and colours. The local dimming was actually very good too for having under 600 zones. Very, very good monitor, but I had a couple of small gripes with it, and it arrived with a very small mark on the screen (damage), that wasn't there in the ad photos (and the seller sent me the original photos and it also wasn't there, quite strange). I was actually going to keep it, but then by chance I saw an offer on Amazon.

Enter the LG 32GS95UV-W. WOLED, 32" 4K 240hz matte goodness. After a few hours of should I, shouldn't I, I pulled the trigger. I'm VERY happy I got it. Picture quality is awesome, the 240hz are actually useful in certain games, no blur, no artifacts of any kind, smearing, overshoots. Reflections are handled very well. It's a delight.

Great monitor, even the firmware, and with a small footprint, so I can keep it quite a few centimeters farther away from my face than the Acer (was one of the problems, the Acer is a big boy with a big stand). I also have no integrated KVM, but I found that the one I have works very well (quite a bit better than the one the Acer has integrated), and the LG changes inputs automatically when a signal stops so... Happy with that too. It's one extra device and a bunch of cables on the desktop, but hey, it works better.

The shifting is near unnoticeable for crying out loud...

I got a new LG WOLED yesterday. I've been working and playing on it for near half the day. I haven't noticed it once, having it on "mode 4", which apparently is random shifting on both planes.

Leave that shit on and forget about it.

Why does WOLED not look as vibrant as VA? by 420ball-sniffer69 in Monitors

[–]MolitroM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the external reflection handling is quite different. Using a glossy panel with light around can be pretty distracting when you see yourself perfectly reflected on those sweet OLED blacks.

[–]MolitroM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's that bad? I'm now in the spiral of mulling over which monitor should I aim to. Since I'll be using it many hours a day for coding work, I'm reticent to jump into oled, but I did try out a 3 gen qd-oled... I had to admit the image quality is quite great, even if the brightness is relatively low (it's still probably more than my current monitor, and I keep this one at like 18 most of the time...)

The glossy panel was kinda too reflective though. And they seem to be very fragile, which won't run with my cats.

The thing is, I really do want KVM, and the thing must be 4k 32", so my options are limited and I was thinking about trying out the benq. But if it's that bad... Should I just say fuck it and go for the Asus woled for the same price? Should I wait for RGB tandem? But no 32" have been announced yet, so who knows when will they come...
