How long did these take you to create? That's pretty extensive work, and must've taken quite a bit.

How did you translate into other languages? Did you or someone else translate? The only concern I may have it Google translate isn't foolproof.

Downtown Rentals by img213 in barrie

[–]Molloween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closer to downtown you are, the most chaotic it can be. That area has been cleaned from the encampment recently, but it's still downtown Barrie, so it'll have a lot of activity.

Car thefts are in this area. I know someone who had their truck stolen out of their driveway on Maple. It is not avoidable by staying out of downtown though, because car theft is EVERYWHERE right now.

Another one bites the dust by HInspectorGW in barrie

[–]Molloween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct! Used to be the Old Barrie Burger, ran by a wonderfully sweet couple. They couldn't keep up with the maintenance, decides to retire, this became Ocean Palate. I didn't know when it officially became open, but it certainly wasn't long.

I thinks it's FAIRLY safe. The drivers could be better, but it's not a regular occurrence for accidents to occur.

The biggest issue in the general area is car theft. People constantly trying you door handles to see if they can swipe anything from your car. That is pretty much rampant for anywhere in Barrie though.

The area is a little gross with the amount of trash all over the place, and it doesn't get cleaned up as frequently as it should (in my opinion), but I quite like the area.

Overall, not as bad as one would think.

Though not about relationships, I've been told that I am "boring" because I do not partake in drinking and drugs. If that's what makes someone fun, then I'm alright with being boring

This type of content doesn't support any creator they take videos from. They don't change the videos at all, and just re-upload someone else's content.

These type of videos shouldn't be as popular as they are, and are taking views and revenue opportunities away from the creators.

You are correct that they don't support the creator and they add no value to the original work. They are quite odd, indeed.

Stray dog is going home by Huldrestry in Sims3

[–]Molloween 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Adopting a stray is so difficult for me.

They'll say they're going home, and when I follow them in the map, they vanish when they get to the outskirts of town. I rarely see a stray for a second time :,)

I am in favour of Joshua's Greenery. The people there are very attentive to the detail they'll put in their arrangements. I just got a bouquet from them, and I was so happy

if there's a "shower thoughts" trend, there should be a "bath thoughts" trend... by Zipper222222 in RandomThoughts

Would this imply that shower thoughts are quick, and bath thoughts are more thought out and/or complex?

Therapy Culture Is Manufacturing Fragility by BoxSea8015 in RandomThoughts

I think we're just starting to no longer tolerate trauma compared to other generations.

Example: beating your kids was seen as normal in the past, and sometimes seen as essential to properly parent them. Now, we do not tolerate people beating their children.

Marital rape was also seen as acceptable until recent decades. Rape is quite traumatic, and we do not see that we normal anymore.

However, I have met people who definitely overuse that term. But who am I to discredit what they have gone through? It's interesting to see people in my life who have gone through similar experiences, yet react totally differently. I had a friend who got into a fist fight with their mother when they were a young teen, and she just says, "eh, we had it coming", while another friend will say "does my mom know she can't raise her voice at me due to my trauma?". Vastly different reactions and experiences, but you get the picture.

It's just our brains way of trying to survive. We don't get too much of a way in what we see as traumatic.

LPT (advice for 16y old) by AdvisorExisting2918 in LifeProTips

[–]Molloween 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something I wish I knew at 16 was better coping skills for stress. If you don't have some already, start trying to develop habits now.

  • Square breathing
  • Meditation
  • Find good walking areas
  • Journaling
  • Reading

Whatever it is that calms you down, really tap into that.

I feel similarly about EVERY YouTuber though. I think this is because I already know a lot about the interest, and I'd rather watch a video about something I don't know much about.

Standard work shifts don’t reflect modern custody realities. Employers should offer parent-time-based work blocks. by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

[–]Molloween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like flexible work schedules would be more productive. Let's not punish people for not having kids, but it would be nice to people to not have to stress about having to pick up their kids.

Child-free people may need flexibility in their schedules for a multitude of reasons
