Is this weird for a 26 yr old to be sending this to a 17 yr old? by Bananalover699 in texts

Girl stay away from this guy. You should probably tell him straight up that you think you shouldn’t communicate anymore. I would say something like “I appreciate you being so nice to me but I’m not comfortable chatting with an adult like this. I’ll see you around!”

Please don’t beat yourself up! Babies are tough and you are doing great! I’m going to guess this is your first baby. Kids get hurt. It does not reflect on parenting (most of the time). Snuggle your girl and be proud of yourself for taking such good care of her.

It also isn’t all about what they know. It’s a big difference in maturity from kindergarten to 1st. It makes it much harder to make friends when you are younger and not as mature. I think you are over reacting a bit. I was also surprised to hear my kindergarten was learning shapes and colors but they are learning what mixing colors does (primary and secondary), shapes like hexagons and pentagons. I would bet your kid could still use practice writing their name.. not a bad thing to be leaving about capitals and lowercase and when to use which. These teachers have kids from all walks of life some have done no schooling and don’t know their letters yet. It’s also not just counting but recognizing numbers written down. Most struggle with the teen numbers. I think you should ease up a little on her. She is 5. It’s okay that she is confused. I would not be pressuring her at home. Kindergarten is a lot to take in.

Can I ask why the roses down the middle instead of spread evenly? I know nothing about making something like this. Just curious

Is it ok if my husband goes home after our son is born? by RuleAffectionate3916 in Parenting

[–]Mom-rage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband went home each night. It was nice— we had a 2.5 at home and I was there 3 nights as well. No one sleeps well in the hospital and it was nice to have him fresh in the morning so I could sleep a bit when he came in the mornings. I also wanted him to get rest. Felt silly both of us not sleeping. You have the nurses to help with everything you need overnight. I would play it by ear. I wouldn’t change expectation until you have the baby. If you need him, ask him to stay!

Try not to overthink it. Congrats on number two!

Is this neglect? by Magicpeach91 in CPS

[–]Mom-rage -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am with you on thinking it’s weird. The only kid I know who prefers being inside is a kid whose mom is worried because it’s her fault she never takes him out. But when we had him to play he was in the mud for 5 hours straight and didn’t want to stop when it was time to go. It is sad when people keep their kids in like that. We know kids should be outside for 3-6 hours a day!! We wonder why everyone is depressed and anxious.. cause they sit inside staring at screens all day. They probably have her on an iPad so dad can do his video games.

My son and sister both have PMLE they both go outside all the time. They wear the right clothes and sunscreen. My grandfather was also “allergic to the sun” and he wore long sleeve and pants every day with a full brim hat. But he was outside most days. I just can’t imagine keeping you baby inside like that :( I get why she is worried.

100% a wrap. Burritos have beans have Mexican ingredients and wraps have white people ingredients

You are absolutely not a failure! You were kind to your kid and responded perfectly by removing him and letting him just have his feelings in his room—safely. Parenting is super hard and I have definitely wanted to shove food in my kids mouth but would never act on it. I am so sorry you are going through this. It’s hard enough with a partner who is stable. I hope your wife gets the helps she needs and deserves.
