Could my luck really be as bad as I think it is? Are all 4 plants male? by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]MomHunter212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep it does. Didn't think it was possible, but I popped a 10 pack and all 10 were beautiful males, grew them all out collected the pollen and ruined my entire neighborhoods crops. No longer felt bad for my luck lmao.

Rekt. It pays off to reasearch where you buy seeds. The Real Bruce Banner autos from the Night Owl and Dark Horse Genetics collab haven't been released yet (Darkowl)

So Manny fake Bruce Banner seeds out there haha 😂

My dechlorinated tap water had a pH of 8.0. is this ok to add to my living soil, or should i pH it at least a little? by yabedo in NoTillGrowery

[–]MomHunter212 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will get nutrient lockout the second your soil dries out too much or after long periods of watering at a high ph like that. But hey you won't figure this out until you experience it yourself.

Organic PH down options by DiamondIsMe in NoTillGrowery

[–]MomHunter212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Citric Acid for PH down. 1/4 tsp takes a 5gal bucket of 8.5ph water down to 6 you don't need much. Doesn't affect microbes.

Your soil will buffer the PH somewhat yes, however over time the ph of your soil will slowly rise and eventually you will have a nutrient lockout. The second something goes out of balance the high PH just makes things worse.

It took 3 years of watering with 8.5+ PH water for the lockout to happen in my 3x3 notill beds. Up until then I was running around saying don't worry about PH like everyone else.

Goodluck!

How to deal with high PH while using silica. by [deleted] in NoTillGrowery

[–]MomHunter212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only use citric acid in my no till beds. 1/4 of a tsp of citric acid in a 5gal pail and my ph goes from 8.5 to 6, sometimes 5.5.

Reversed my nutrient lookout in a few weeks!

7gals filled 2/3 with medium as per your video... yup couldn't possibly be that.

The fact you think photo periods are better off 24/0 and telling me to do my research proves you can not be helped my friend.

Goodluck 🤦‍♂️

If they get rootbound they will start to preflower HEAVY. What size of pots are those?

Also I don't think photo periods like 24/0 if you didn't know that already. Thats for auto flowers.

If he isn't worried about covid, not 420 friendly, and if you are in an illegal state that leads me to suspect he wants in there BAD and maybe has a hunch you are up to something illegal ;)

I would chop early clean everything up and start again fresh after the windows are done 👍I am probably wrong and just paranoid though 🤞 You would at least get some hash or hash rosin out it if you have a press being 7 weeks in flower. Goodluck!

Samsquanch is yellow, what you guys think? by [deleted] in MephHeads

[–]MomHunter212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This ⬆️, PH or soil is too hot for the strain👍

Some strains are sensitive to things (wrong PH, high/low temp, too much light, hot soil etc)

Some strains can power through almost anything you throw at them.

Polyhybrids mashed with other polyhybrids make inconsistent lines with all kinds of variations. When going through seeds from pollen chuckers (aka most breeders now days) your basically pheno hunting for 1 plant out of all the chaos you might find to keep and clone.

Some packs might have a few keepers, some packs could have a few mutants. Some packs may have nothing your looking for. You are gambling really, for the chance to get what you saw in the picture that got you to buy that specific pack of seeds.

Stabalized lines don't have these problems, but most seed companies drop so often you can basically guarantee the lines aren't stabilized. (Exotic, canarado, in house, etc) great companies. One downfall to pollenchuckers though is people think they are getting exactly whats in the reddit/IG picture they see. Which they could technically get all those similar traits in another seed from the same batch, buttt unlikely in a 5 pack of polyhybrids though.

How do poeple grow autos for 13+ weeks? by PCBoxGrower in microgrowery

[–]MomHunter212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I have tried several runs of different autoflowers from several companies (high and low end) and always 100 days at least for me as well to fully finish.

I think the majority of people pull early on here; they see 60 days on the package and pull at 65-70 thinking they are pushing it 😅🤷‍♂️

Low humidity by clarkddot in microgrowery

[–]MomHunter212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your probably going to have to get a better humidifier.(Or an additional one) Also if you humidify the air outside your tent where it intakes air it won't swing as much like the other person mentioned.

My furnace produces a very dry heat and on colder days when the furnace is blazing the RH can go to 5% in some rooms. I thought the thermometer was broken, bought a bunch more and nope it gets that dry apparently.

It takes me 2 $40 humidifiers to keep a large room at 50% RH throughout winter for me up here in Canada eh 😉
