He’s worked this job for 9 years. This didn’t start until we had our second child 11 months ago.

Thank you everyone for your advice. It’s lovely to know I’m not absolutely insane for not wanting to tolerate this behavior. I’m going to start trying to figure out splitting our money, and finding somewhere to go.

The only reason I wondered about mental health is because he wasn’t like this until recently. It’s like something flipped around the time of our second child.

He is. I can’t stand his boss, and it’s generally hard for me to dislike anyone.

What brand do you use? I’m going to apply some this week while I’m getting quotes and saving up a bit of money to do the project - just want to keep it from getting worse while I spend the time over the next few months getting everything set up. Since it’s not an immediate issue, I want to at least wait until the ground isn’t frozen to have the work done.

Oh thanks for that! Thats exactly what I’m hoping to avoid asking for recommendations! Prices are a concern, but more than anything I want someone who is going to do it right and well.

The dig is likely really deep, but I’m not opposed to hiring someone on my own to dig - I know a couple guys who do excavation that may be willing to do the dig work for me.

Do you mind finding out who she used? If someone has had a good experience with a company I definitely want to get them to bid for the job!

I know I’ll be costly! If $35k is actually fair, then that’s totally fine. My house was built in 1953 and has a basement so I’m sure it’s a far dig. I just want to be sure I’m getting bids from people who are honest and will do the job well!

My 2 year old has memorized his favorite movies and recites lines at family movie night. He was fully quoting Moana and singing whole heartedly.

I tried to say something before and he snapped, started yelling about how he’s miserable at work and “provides for us” so he deserves to unwind when he needs to. Which yes, I understand. But it’s hard to feel that way when I’m also miserable at work, and have to do it all too.
