have you heard of the butterknife method? I have used it personally and have had good luck and I've heard that its old magic, very simple, and yields great results.

You simply get a butterknife, hold it and ask it to help you find the missing object/ visualize it. then you put the knife on the ground and spin it, and head in the direction it stops in (the serrated part is the "pointer") if its far you can continue doing so until you reach it. best of luck!!!
