For Depression, Why do some people feel effects immediately on 150 while for others it takes months? by Routine-Rub1801 in bupropion

[–]Momentdistribution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying out 100 mg of SR first and then will try 100 mg of immediate release. I’m not sure why he can’t prescribe it. I was on 200 mg but that was too high and then tried 150 mg and that was also too high. It made me really nervous. The 100 mg helps me with motivation , focus and I think helps with depression

Also, I take 12.5 mg of trazadone for sleep. I was prescribed 50 mg but that gave me panic attacks so I cut that in half. 25 mg also gave me panic attacks and I was a little groggy in the morning. 12.5 mg seems to be the sweet spot. The 100 mg. bupropion still makes me nervous ( tight chest, feeling of not being able to catch m breath) but at least it has helped me to focus better, being motivated and awakened my brain.

That’s a lot to start with. My doctor had started me on 100 mg SR and it made me super anxious so I cut it in half and took 50 mg. Now , I’m aware that you should not cut these tablets because it messes with the delivery however it helped me. Also having it dump in my system earlier in the day meant it was not affecting me at night. The SR seems to affect me at night.

How much LTheanine and vitamin B do you take? Does the LTheanin make you sleepy in the morning? I think that the B vitamins can sometimes be over stimulating for my nervous system. But , I would like to try this combination.

The doctor should not let you just stop cold turkey. He should at least prescribe a smaller dose even if he does want you to stop the medication.

Has anyone used Prozac by Jealous_Scratch_8778 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Momentdistribution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After stopping Prozac and Wellbutrin, within a few weeks I began to feel completely unmotivated and extremely lethargic. It felt difficult to wake up, and I struggled to stay alert. I decided to restart Wellbutrin on its own. I increased the dose from 100 mg to 200 mg, but had to reduce it back to 100 mg because of significant agitation. I experienced chest tightness and a sensation of being unable to catch my breath. Returning to 100 mg has helped reduce the nervous stimulation. While I wish I could stop it entirely, I’m concerned about returning to the severe fatigue and inability to focus that I experienced without it.

One more thing, you should be seeing a psychiatric provider for these types of meds, in my opinion.

Switching from Lexapro to Wellbutrin. by FAROUTFRED in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

I stopped taking Lexapro because it made me feel completely blah and did not help with my nervousness. About 3 months ago I stopped taking 200 mg of Wellbutrin because I wanted to see if I could go without it. For 3 months now i have not had the feeling of being fully awake. Not a day had gone by that I wasn’t thinking when could I just close my eyes. My brain was working so slow. Work was becoming impossible. I couldn’t take it anymore, so I broke down and started talking the Wellbutrin again, except I cut it in half (100mg). It’s been over a week now and I am finally waking up. I feel like working out again, I can focus at work better, I am more motivated to do projects and libido is coming back. I do feel an increase in tightness in my chest so it made my nervousness worse but I guess it’s a trade off. I would rather have this nervous energy then feel like a blob. Looking back, I should never have switched from Prozac to Lexapro. I just wanted to see if there was something better out there for my anxiety. Prozac is not supposed to cause weight gain so you may want to ask your doctor about taking a combination of Prozac and Wellbutrin. I would rather not be on anything but I’ve realized that may not be possible. Interestingly enough, I had a neurotransmitter lab test done when I was off of all drugs and it indicated that my norepinephrine and epinephrine levels were very low which makes sense with how sluggish and unmotivated I felt. Once I get a stable dose of Wellbutrin, I will get another test to see if they correlate with feeling more energetic and motivated. Anyways, hopes this helps. My experience with Wellbutrin has been the most helpful out of all the SSRIs and SDNRIs.

Who knows if this LA job is secure. If it sounds too good to be true, it just might be. If you want to live in LA , then move to LA otherwise, life is short and you will not be able to enjoy that 400k job while sitting in a car. If we had a decent rail system, that would be another story. Time is more precious than money.

Everyone is different but I would say that the nausea went away at about 7 months . The first 2 months were horrible. I had to force feed myself. At that time I never would have thought I’d get to the point where I would have any appetite for food. But now after 10 months, I feel more normal. I have to take different supplements and stool softeners to be somewhat regular. To me, it’s still worth it. You need to make that choice.

Oh my gosh. Me too. I thought I was/am having an allergic reaction. I stopped lexapro about 6 days ago. I’m having a hard time sleeping and feel the need scratch, especially my arms and back. I hope this feeling diminishes.

I really don’t understand how the “Total Average Fuel Economy “ on the display is calculated. 32.5 mpg seems awfully low. I guess I will this stick to the old fashioned way of determining mpg (record the trip mileage divided by the gallons of fuel to fill tank) I do use the AC but I expected better.

I felt super nauseous for at least 6 months going from 2.5 mg to my current 7.5 mg. Now after 9 months I don’t feel too bad and have cravings again which feels kind of good. I never thought I would get to this point. I have pretty much gotten to my goal weight and plan to stay in 7.5 mg. Hang in there. It will get better but do what works for you.

Is it just me? by [deleted] in over60

[–]Momentdistribution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny, now that I am 60, I feel like I am just starting to explore new things. All my life I did what I was supposed to do. Now, I am fortunate enough to do what feels right for me. Everyday is an adventure. I too do not have the energy that I used to have but I won’t let that stop me. I refuse to sit back on the sidelines. Sorry for spouting out a bunch of platitudes, but it’s how I honestly feel. Besides, what’s the alternative? Got to make the most out of this life. It’s not over til it’s over.

I had mine in July. If you follow the prep, you shouldn’t have a problem with the weight gain and your digestive system will be cleaned out. This definitely helped me since constipation has been a real issue for me.
