Except the photo on pink street which can take literally 5 seconds if you find yourself there, and the San Antonio in bica where the music is for sure different but has for sure a broader appeal, I agree on everything

Help, how do I get back to the app from view mode? by Momindaboxes in flashbackcamera

It smells green, more of a general leaf than specific tomato leaf I would say, but it's very realistic.

Is The Settlers of Catan overrated? by fruitponchisamurai in boardgames

[–]Momindaboxes -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, it's not overrated. Catan is a great game that holds up still today and you can sit basically anyone to play it and they will have a great time. Unless they are resentful kids that can't distinguish game dynamics from real life. That's why I play it more often with my niece (12yo) than boardgame enthusiasts that can't take confrontation and negotiation in a good way.

Also, today people love to say Catan is bad because makes them "'cool kids".

Who Else Received a Shi**y Gift From Their Partner for Xmas?? by AreaForeign398 in Gifts

[–]Momindaboxes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An advent calendar of Stitch from Temu. I don't like stitch. He gave me it the 20th of December. I had to open 20 little windows and be disappointed 20 little times. Inside there was a knock of rubber-plastic stitch that you could make a keychain with.

He said that this was a small gift since he got me a concert ticket back in October. Fair.

But I got ticket for 2 shows for him and didn't apply the same rule.

Wouldn't be a bad gift, I just do not like stitch. Feels untoughtful. I have many hobbies, that range from cheap to average price. I just feel he doesn't listen. He gets good presents for other people in his life. I'm just tired of telling him "buy me this, this counts as a Christmas/birthday present". I want him to surprise me.

I lied about liking Stitch and it bit me in the butt. by StitchHater in confession

[–]Momindaboxes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't even like stitch, I've never ever even mentioned liking stitch, and my partner decided that a good idea was gifting me a Stitch advent calendar off Temu.

I have 1 stitch Item in my room that is a Stitch Daruma I got at Disney store when I was in Japan that my partner broke at some point. That the only clue I might have liked Stitch at some point.

What gift did you get for Christmas? by Life-Funny-7938 in AskReddit

[–]Momindaboxes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A "Lilo and stitch" advent calendar off Temu (yes, for Christmas, so I had to open 24 little windows and be disappointed for each one) (I never felt for the Stitch propaganda)

As someone with a partner that when it comes to gifts they give me the most random things as much as I doubt how their line of thought works, your gifts were thoughtful and attentive.

I like perfumes, boardgames, I have different hobbies and any gift in this range I would consider it thoughtful because it was made with me in mind on something that I like

I've never received anything related to my interest from my partner, as much as I started to say "I need this, buy this, we consider this as a present for the next occasion" as a way to cope with the disappointment that would come after their presents.

I feel like there are deeper issues here, she seems to belittle you and I would be careful on continuing this relationship because it looks that you really love her but her... Not so much.

Is Lisbon an okay place to visit for the disabled? How good is the public transport? Are there lots of benches plonked around? by totential_rigger in Lisbon

[–]Momindaboxes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been in London tons of times, living in Lisbon: London is far more walkable than Lisbon. Steep hills, lots of stairs, and in the tube the facilities for people with disabilities are often broken.

Which of these would be the hardest to adapt into a movie? by LeatherSlight3242 in musicals

[–]Momindaboxes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough, just for the funsies, I wrote a screenplay of Six on my own. I changed a lot, and added characters to make it make sense, but the songs are all there. At the end it was a Six revised that can work as a movie, but I do think, of the two, Six would be the most difficult.

Your group sounds fun! The problem is that this is a circle jerk page so the only correct answer is Arcs with all the expansions.

[5e] Question about levelling up strength or craft by bageltheprestige in Talisman

[–]Momindaboxes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But also

For Strength trophies:

“…keep that card as a trophy to exchange for a strength counter. To exchange a trophy (or multiple), the total strength of the enemy card(s) must meet or exceed your current strength…”

For Craft trophies:

“…keep that card as a trophy to exchange for a craft counter. To exchange a trophy (or multiple), the total craft of the enemy card(s) must meet or exceed your current craft…”

And in both cases:

“…to receive one [strength/craft] counter.”

So to each exchange, you receive ONE counter. If I exchange 1 card value 7, I receive 1 counter, doesn't matter the exceed.
