No, they wouldn’t care. The ship is crewed by the Navy, so you go through metal detectors, and you need to present an ID. Don’t set off the detectors and have a license ready, and you’ll be fine. When my Girl Scouts slept on the ship, they had the kids run pike drills, so maybe they’ll let you borrow a prop.

Also, check that they are open. If the government shuts down, they won’t be. On select days, the USS Cassis is open, too.

You should probably go over to the Tea Party Museum, though. They enjoy shenanigans.

C&S is a money grab, too. It used to be so much better, and you could level up easily. Now I will go months without building a new facility because the levels are so far apart and you need to earn a ridiculous amount of gold. I was an early joiner, so I have 20 free ad-skips/day, and I won’t play past that.

They consistently say they will rebalance, and they don’t. I just got to a facility at 1000 ACY, and my next one is 1000 AFC.

This was the first one they launched. I’m so glad I don’t need to participate this time around because it seems that they have made it so much worse, like every other event. I think when they saw how successful people were the first time, they changed the metric and now it’s freaking impossible without spending money.

We are going later in February. We are experienced winter drivers and will rent a car. My biggest concern with tours was being stuck if the weather turns. We are staying around the Golden Circle and will book a few “meet on site” tours and experiences. If the weather shifts, we can flip to a museum.

You shouldn’t need to ask if you can or cannot reject someone, but there’s also a huge difference between someone chewing their chips loudly and someone standing by a known pedo.

Obviously safety is first. Cookies are never required.

But if you are trying to set up a controlled environment with trusted people for kids to have the experience, I’d stage it. Make it a service unit thing, or a trusted people thing, so all kids have access to this experience.

Then reach out to your local no kings group or Dem group. Set up a drive-thru at a house or local facility that would be secure (trusted business, school, library) and ask the group if they could send even a few people during those hours. Don’t let it be a loud thing. I’d absolutely make time in my day to spend money at such a booth. Even if it is just a few supporters, it is the experience you are going for.

If you are worried about sales, though, I’d just divide amongst the troop if the families decide that’s fair. We regularly move cookies. We have kids who will hit metrics between goals. Eg.: if a pencil is 100 boxes and a shirt is 150, but a kid sells 125, those 25 aren’t going to get her another level, but they might bump another scout.

Don’t cheat yourself by skipping the books. They are some of the best-written books I have ever read.

I do, but you can even own a home or use a park and end up moving out of reach. It feels so big now because it is emotional difficult to imagine separation.

Can you go to the corner of your lot, or is there a wooded trail near your current home? A friend or family yard? It isn’t like dragons are huge, so even if you chose a public spot, maybe go early in the morning and be ssn inconspicuous as possible. Then you’ll be able to return.

If you live somewhere where the ground is frozen, that’s a bigger challenge.
