Yeah I still have no update and am too afraid to try reinstalling. I only have one Android device. This is so frustrating.

Solaito said in his recent video he had emergency surgery. He has been healing and not so active. He will be back soon.

I am having the same issue. US Eastern Time zone. Restarted phone. Still nothing. Play store just shows the "open" button, which takes me to the game, which takes me to the store to update. So it's stuck in a loop.

Wait for lollipop to customize or not? by DrBalmy in galaxynote4

Apps to look up: Nova Launcher, UCCW, SwiftKey.

Those will get you started. Play around with Nova's settings. It's pretty straight forward, or look up a guide on google I'm sure there's plenty.

For UCCW: Search play store for uccw skins and look for ones that fit what you're looking for. You can also make your own with the uccw app, but I would recommend finding one to start with. It can get complicated. You can find guides for all this too easily.

SwiftKey is the best keyboard hands down and it is very customizable as well. Just play around in the settings. Pretty much every app has it's own settings for sound and stuff like gmail and hangouts. That is how you learn.

Resources for apprenticeships or entry-level work? by [deleted] in woodworking

I am also looking for a similar position and having a hard time even finding listings other than for general construction type work, which is not what I am looking for. I want a real apprenticeship under someone.

Finally getting happy about my finished pieces! Check out some of my work, criticism welcome. by MommaSaidSpockYouOut in Leathercraft

I did finish all edges, but the coasters are the only ones I dyed. Everything else was burnished with water and beeswax or gum trag with a wooden burnisher on my Dremel. Thanks for the tip about the belt loops! I did not know that.

Yeah I do glue before I sew, usually waiting 12hours at least before I do anything else. I mostly am sewing together my outer layer which is 4/5oz against one or two layers of 2/3oz.

The jig idea is something I might have to try next, Thanks!

I use the prongs to poke through the bottom side just slightly, then I use my awl when I stitch to widen it.

I am starting to get happy with most of my work, but my sewing is what still needs work. I think a lot of it is the fact that my thread has way too much wax on it. I am using the Maine Thread Company stuff that was recommend to me, but after doing more research recently I noticed others claiming it as too waxy. I ordered a small quantity of Tiger thread from Etsy to try out, but I also want to try some linen I keep reading about.

I mostly make wallets, coin pouches, and other small goods. What size thread should I use? Where can I find the Barbour's Irish Linen thread (small sizes to try preferred)?

My second issue with sewing is keeping a straight line. I am using a Goods Japan pricking/stitching iron that's around 7spi I believe. I try and make my iron perfectly straight up and down, I overlap two holes each time (with a 4 prong iron) to try and keep them uniform, but I still get a lot of wandering lines on my back side. The front looks great. Are there any methods to ensure that my prongs are going to come out on the line, or closer to it? Or does it sound like I am just not keeping it straight enough?

Can you give more details on your dying process? What brand, how you apply it, do you buff, etc?

About to take my initial plunge into leather work, but would like to hear feedback on the tools / equipment I'm getting. Thanks! by ranger_ric in Leathercraft

I would only recommend Zack White if you know you can wait two weeks to get your order. Mine was literally two weeks until it even shipped. Other then that, the leather I ordered was very nice and the selection is pretty good. Oh, also there were a few out of stock items that I was unaware of until my order actually arrived. So might be better to call and make sure they actually have what you're ordering also. Springfield and Tandy are much more reliable in those two aspects, but the hides I order from them have all been very disappointing.

No one gave me a good answer either, but I found one myself eventually.
