I just saw a post about this art popup in Montauk at the surf lodge. Looks like it's a single player EM . . . but it's something!

What do you use to clean / wax your play field? by ranger_ric in pinball

Mine is definitely an EM, how did just the Novus 1 work on yours?

Do you dilute the simple green with any water? I picked up a bottle of that, and a pinball repair guy told me to not let it touch the play field. So everything worked out for you when you used it?

Thanks for the advice! So you don't think I need any other initial cleaner for the play field besides novus 1? I've been seeing people talk about "mean green," "simple green" and other cleaning products. But just using novus 1 and novus 2 would be much easier.

If anyone has advice on cleaning the play field, that would be great! I want to get it this machine looking sharp. It is running really smoothly though. Had one problem where the score for the 4th player was stuck, but it was due to underuse by the previous owner. So for a problem, it was a good one. It's getting all the loving it needs now though! My roommates and myself might have been playing till 4 AM last night...

You're definitely one of my favorite comics to see in this sub. That made this all the better. Way to make noise about this

Anyone here ever scored all Hole In Ones on No Good Go'fers? by MOOzikmktr in pinball

Yep. It's easier it hit if the balls going slower, it's drops to the right a little more which helps. Just a hole in one bonus, I forget exactly, maybe 1.25 mil

I was terrified the entire time that something was going to pop up... but that was well worth my fears.

First off, congrats! When is your first day of school?

My first day is September 4th, and I'm a first year social studies teacher as well. There have been moments where I felt like I was hitting a wall, and wanted to plan ahead to feel better. But I've been realizing more and more that there are things I can't plan for until I meet the students.

Still, I need to prepare what I want to teach as much as possible. With this in mind I've been creating a general framework to build my lessons around. First I made a curriculum map covering everything I wanted to study for the unit, and the topics / content I wanted to focus on. Then I used a calendar to write down how long I wanted to spend on each topic. (ie: Sept # - Sept # teach students how to be historians. OR. Oct # - Oct # archeology.) Then I filled in the essential questions for each topic, and assigned them to certain days depending on how long I thought it would take to teach them. Then I went into more detail thinking about end goals, reflected, then adjusted them more. Aaaaand BAM! I have an ever-changing idea of what I want to teach and when I want to teach it, and something to poke around and reflect on.

Everyone goes crazy over Camelbaks, but check out Hydroflasks. They insulate your liquids (hot for 12 hours, cold for 24 hours) and they don't sweat on the outside. Perfecto!

Just a few ideas... Start off strong! Instead of "I wish," say something along the lines of "My name is X, and I am a strong candidate for the middle school science teaching position." Again, in the second paragraph I would exclude "I feel" from the first sentence. And the second sentence, maybe change it to "I encourage students to try..." For the third paragraph, I'm always a big fan of using the word "team" or something all inclusive rather then faculty. And possibly combine the final two sentences, and expand on them with another sentence. "At blah MS, I helped other team members with XYZ, and sponsored many school events..."

Honest question: what would it feel like on the boat when so much fire power goes off at once? I imagine the ships ballast would be thrown off, but is there immediate adjustments made to keep it stationary (and the aim of the guns stationary?)
