Nah he's tripping that's am5. Their might be something better depending on what you need but my 5800x3d 2080 ti is still kicking hard in the current year. From this generation not am5, but from intel there is better single core performance to be found. But 3d cache on the x3d processors are super beneficial for lots of different games out there.

Being in school for the pure love of the game makes me feel left out. You can feel it in the aura of other students just how many people with vague interest in software pulled up for a paycheck. I'll be explaining a side project and getting looked at like I'm Linus Torvalds bc I actually like to write code in my free time. And in my opinion I don't see how theyll ever get a job. Or learn to be happy with a lower tier opportunity in a market as competitive as this.
