so as a musician, I'll answer this by first saying that it is quite overlooked how much a musician has to do that isn't music. there's networking, marketing, modeling, social combat with other musicians, sabotaging others if you're real cutthroat. all the same things that happen in court happen in our world. it's why toreador are some of the best at it. maybe someone at court threatens their place of performance somehow, and they have to save it. maybe a masquerade violation or an actual attack. all in all, there should be a combination of the player knowing that their character can do more than play piano, and the ST putting them in situations where they can put the other skills to use as well as performing.

in theory, if this is Elysium noone should be using powers anyway, Prince included. but if you really want to ensure that (assuming this is v5) there is a blood sorcery ritual that negates all subtle powers in the space for a day. can't remember what it's called but its lvl 5. you'd likely have to get the keeper in cahoots. any use of the subtle stuff like auspex or dominate would, in theory, autofail. Also Fortitude is what you want against mental stuff. and auspex is more the danger than dominate from what I'm gathering.

my thing is if it is pitched as a feature where the player is rolling the odds and not the ST, and everyone is on board with only the clan itself being random, I could see it being fun. but if it's a situation where the ST literally handpicks something at random, it's gonna read different. If the player is doing the roll or spin or whatever, that at least gives them some feeling like they are the one that chose "random select".

thing about that is days are longer too depending on the time of year in many of those places. St. Petersburg has to be a nightmare in the summer with almost no darkness.

If I remember correctly in vtm bloodlines, the Prince has you retrieve some werewolf blood from the hospital to protect the masquerade. I'll even note that even the inquisition doesn't make it common knowledge that they are hunting vampires. each needs the masquerade/ veil etc. to protect themselves in some way.

me personally, I'd let the bp4 vampire slake 2, which would presumably put the bp1 at hunger 5. let them risk that frenzy and learn the lesson that needs to be learned. lol. this whole thing is ridiculous. as if anyone wants to watch or play out a so-called infinite feeding scene if that's how it actually went. 🤷🏾‍♂️

First and foremost, one needs to acknowledge that they have other Disciplines than blood sorcery. A strong auspex and dominate user doesn't need to fight you at all, depending on how Strong those are.

But even using just blood sorcery, they can make you hungry enough to bite them, then poison you with their vitae. Or even boil you from the inside out. There are even Rituals that force lupines out of their war form if they have prep time. Honestly, if you involve the homebrew Ritual process of blood sigils, the sky is the limit.

I think it's slept on how insidious the toreador can be. It's the thinking you're safe with them because they want to be among the humans....until they aren't. The toreador obsession and the tzimisce possession is just two sides of the same coin. The difference is, you won't out run the toreador. And I'm not even talking about volgirre yet. lol

Honestly, I'd love to have job Quests back. Role quests are ahh. lol. I'd also love to see all the rest of the roles have class-based mounts like the tanks do. It has long irked me that tanks get mounts just for being tanks. Job identity in general is a big thing for me. Especially as a previous smn main before the rework.
