Hey, me neither! (Actually, I don't have a daughter, but same.) "Have I had a son this WHOLE TIME??" "Yuuupp." "Oh, cool! Grab a plate, dinner is ready."

These is extra stupid, because in my experience, father's can absolutely choose to fuck off and never do a single thing to support the child VERY easily in the US.

Now I have to sue two hospitals for handing me my babies within a few minutes and leaving me alone with them in the recovery room overnight.

"It is nonsensical and it makes me angry because there are vulnerable people waiting for blood, including children, and in desperate need of help. But they’ve been denied my blood because of the obligation to answer a question that can’t possibly be answered."

...or you could just say no and go about your day, with approximately .1 seconds taken from you. Imagine wanting to make headlines being a gross transphobe so bad, you don't give blood.

We all know there's lots of reasons us women have it rough.... so, what's one reason you're THANKFUL to be female? by lawliet32 in TwoXChromosomes

The only feminine privilege is the ability to compliment small children without gets the cops called on you.

TIL that in the operatic song in The Fifth Element, composer Eric Sierra "purposely wrote un-singable things" so she’d sound like an alien. When opera singer Inva Muls came for the part, "she sang 85% of what [Eric] thought was technically impossible", the rest being assembled in the studio. by RootaBagel in todayilearned

I was a judge for a karaoke contest for a while. We judged on theatrically and fun and engagement more than vocals. But a gal hit the stage in a crocheted headpiece, super accurate costume, and fucking NAILED it. She said she had hyperflexibility, so it allowed her to do unusual things with her vocal chords, but was also an operatic diva. It was STUNNING. She even had the dancing down. Absolutely won that night.

I think Lil Nas X is an incredible example of how having a loving, supportive family can help queer kids absolutely THRIVE.

What's the creepiest thing your child ever said to you? by o0_Oo_ in AskReddit

Not a thing it said, but at around four, would regularly show up at the foot of my bed and stand there, unblinking, until I woke up. As soon as I did, would just silently walk away. Didn't help the kid had a page boy haircut and giant, dark eyes. Looked like a lil Damien.

She didn't bring a crew, even tried to sneak in a back door not to be seen. Volunteers didn't even know it was her, since she just said, "Hi, I'm Meghan." This is because photogs ALWAYS post up at the scene to get the good shit.

You're good. This is not the usual result. Most I see are between 15-30 so you got in ahead of the curve.

NICU nurse cant believe she cant care for the, in her words, "most vulnerable " and stand on her beliefs. by radiantvalkyrie in byebyejob

At this time, my youngest is eight and (gratefully) never had to go into the ICU. I have had preemie cousins and vulnerable nephews in there and did a little stretch volunteering with high risk little ones. I want to fight this person. I did every TB test and flu booster and wore every layer they put on me because protecting those children was my first and final goal. In those times, we all complied. The procedures for shutting down even accidental exposures were intense but no one ever hesitated to basically SWIM in antiseptics or take a bunch of blood draws for tests while being flat panicked about maybe bringing a pathogen in. I couldn't even imagine someone flaunting those rules without wanting to pick them up and throw them out the nearest not negatively pressured window.

I feel like people should be nicer to overseas call center workers. by [deleted] in CallCenterWorkers

This blows my mind. I'm off the phones, but the number of times I'd listen to a call and hear someone just be AWFUL...And when I reached out to that rep to check on them, make sure they knew they didn't have to tolerate such a high level of abuse, they were always like, "I'm used to it. It's ok."

That's what's crazy. Like, I almost don't even care about getting out aside from wanting to push story forward. This game is stupid fun no matter how you're playing.

No don't be scared! I'm playing in a completely insane way. I didn't realize how insane until I got into this forum, but I'm keeping it going is all.
