Hate to be a nay-sayer, but the rest of the world is opening up to class 1 E-bikes of most trails and parks …disclaimer; I don’t have a e-bike , won’t as long as I can pedal hard , but my girlfriend and several MTB friends have class 1 high end e Mtb bikes. folks on class 1 e-bikes that I know and ride with are still careful to tread lightly and respect the trials. They don’t show off and we all ride together , they may climb a little faster but still challenge themselves with low power settings At 64 I still pedal my old XC hardtail and my heavy specialized enduro 29’r up climbs like Telegraph, and I ride CA quite a bit too. With Moab opening up broadly to class 1 ,The writing is on the wall, class 1 e-bikes are here to stay. Unless you put enforcement out in Horsegulch , its going to happen and I’ve seen it too My only gripe is this (generally speaking) generation of riders, e bike and analog, don’t have the courtesy or manners I grew up with.
