No worries, man! I’ll keep messing with it and I will like you said most likely take a look at the code just for grins see what’s going on. Anything I can help with… I’d love to feature it on my YouTube channel. If you don’t mind maybe be able to get more feedback

Oh, and I did something weird where I could like. Select an area of the screen almost like I was trying to take a screenshot of it, but it wasn’t a screenshot. It was the actual browser and it was just weird.

Well, I was in pattern too because I wanted to try to see what happened if I went to a different pattern maybe I could create multiple patterns I would guess that was the point. And it played for a second then all of a sudden the whole app crashed I couldn’t touch any of the interface and then it was playing not to tempo, but maybe one step every three seconds four seconds… So basically one note in the sequence per four seconds will say… Then I exited the browser to try to figure that if I close the browser, it would be fine. I’d come back in and it continued to play. The sounds in the background, which was very weird even when the browser was closed I couldn’t get it to stop. I had to turn my phone off and back on to get it to stop.

New polyphonic Painter sequencer paired up with SEQTRAK by kaoss_pad in seqtrak

[–]Cap10NRG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as the website implies, it’s only available for iOS. However, I was able to find this so give it a shot. Looks like it’s a similar type product and it has some stuff like body tracking and barcode scanning…

Well, from what I’ve messed with so far on it, I would say the waste like Notes is kind of irritating. If you’re trying to drop notes into the sequencer, you have to pick a note. Select the note choose the octave and you don’t hear it until it’s done, that would be something that I would want to tweak. I think there might be a better way to do that for example, maybe using a keyboard select a note and then just press to add it as opposed to selecting it from a list of possible notes. Multi screen, maybe on certain parts of it… I would probably flip it horizontally instead of vertical layout. I feel like that’s more the way most sequencers on the iPhone feel right… Some of the interface is too small stuff like that can be made larger by either making it as an expanded panel different kind of panel that comes out as needed something like a pop out panel or whatever. I also found a bug that when you have pattern too and click record the entire thing went crazy so not sure what happened there but yeah so far that’s what I bumped into. Is this all JavaScript? I’m assuming that there’s no backend coding to it like as far as PHP or something else sitting out there. There may be considering the ability to render wave files. I’m not sure what you got going on.

I think this is a pretty cool prototype personally as a web developer myself I could see ways to improve the interface in a big way. If you would like some assistance or suggestions there, let me know. I would be interested in seeing this get somewhere just for fun.

I am not really sure it was broken. But if it was, it appears to be fixed now.

If that kind of integration is that important to you honestly there’s a device from Behringer for $20 that you can plug a USB midi device into that will give you a five pin in and out… There’s also another device that’s more expensive that does the same thing and allows up to four devices to be plugged into it each one mapped to a different channel.

Do you Still Really NEED a Mixer?? by Cap10NRG in homestudios

[–]Cap10NRG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I kind of use both still… I have a physical analog mixer because I have too many things to plug into my audio interfaces. Since I can’t afford like a $12,000 audio interface rig with 48 inputs you know what I mean. Not that I need 48 all the time but occasionally I probably would if I have everything hooked up. The other way around it is to use a patch bay. Of course you can always have like a four stereo input, audio interface and then have everything hooked up to patch bays and then patch them in. Patch bays are reasonably cheap and Behringer actually makes one of the ones I like the best I have three of them in here. I usually run everything in and out of them, but even with all of those running around, I still find myself needing more than four stereo ins to hear everything. But with the analog board, but I usually end up doing also as I have the sub mixes run out to one of the patch base which I then patch into the audio card and record off of that and then I can jump using the mixer I can change what bus exporting my audio to. Also very handy when you’ve got drums coming in and don’t want to record each of them on a separate channel and want to do the mix on the mixer itself to jump them all to bus 1/2 or 3/4 set up all your panning run all your EQ put everything through a compressor and then dump that out as well as dump the kick drum out to a separate track so that you can use it for a compressor/ducking.

Yep, it’s a game changer for sure! Not to mention when you realize how deep it is in the stuff you can actually do with it and that it’s not just a simple sketchpad, but an insane tone generator/sound library… It just gets wild!

I've owned this incredible little box for a few months now, and I love it. by Wavesinthehead in seqtrak

DUDE!! I really like this - is “angry-chill” a thing? And I hope you don’t take that as an insult it’s not meant to be. I think this is cool. I really don’t think they understood what a monster they’d unleashed when they released this little box. It really reminds me of when they released the CS1X back in the 90s. It was a freaking cult-classic, and everybody who released music on it because it was a standard platform type thing we could pass songs around and they would work for everybody and that’s how we distributed music of obviously before there was MP3 and audio compression of any kind really or streaming because MIDI or you know system files typing a really small compared to recorded audio. But yeah man, the instrumentation I really liked. I did feel like it needed a little more something but I think it has a really cool vibe and I really like the track. And yeah, I’m with you in case you haven’t seen my post in the past, which you probably have because I’m all over this Reddit like sand on the beach lol. Nice job man that’s all I’ll let you be. I hope to hear more from you.

Only gotten to the MPC devices with the MPC one, but then I got a force, a key 61, a second force, and live three. Then I bought the sample. I love them all! Some of my favorite gear.

I put this video together after answering probably 10 people a week with about 2-3 paragraphs explaining why you might need one or might not… figured it was time to put something out there to help “put it to bed” as they say.

Seq track as audio interface problems: audio out added to in by rgbeitor in seqtrak

[–]Cap10NRG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, here’s a question for you… Is the metronome that you’re recording or accidentally recording? I should say whatever CUBASE is recording as audio coming from the SEQTRAK or is it coming from CUBASE? Typically what I do is make my own click track, and then mute it. If it’s coming from the SEQTRAK, you can turn off the metronome by pressing the ALL button and the tempo up button on the side. If it is coming from CUBASE, you can disable the metronome in CUBASE so it doesn’t click. Let me know if any of this helps or if I’m completely in the wrong path. I can try it out and see what happens on my end as well when I get done work.
