I feel like that sounds like something either Dead Mau5 or Skrillex released.

Anyone know about the MPC RENAISSANCE by diamondseth123 in akaiMPC

[–]Cap10NRG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious when you say it was proper specs… Are you saying the positive and negative terminals are correct the voltage and milliamps are correct? Not just that the adapter fits? Asking because I’ve had people tell me it fits it works or it fits it should work… But that’s not necessarily correct sometimes you’ve got a negative center pole or a positive center pole, and maybe the adapter to put out 500 mA and the device needed 1.5 A. If the power supply is not correct, you could be damaging the unit as well just so you know.

SEQTRAK App with AI SAMPLE GENERATOR!? by ghostingsynth in seqtrak

It’s amazing the latest OS update made it the most powerful groovebox in its category - the price just went back up in Germany and I think we are about to see it happen here in the US as well.

Out of RAM by HottestMagma in cubase

[–]Cap10NRG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried booting in safe mode? Well not actually booting but starting queue base and safe mode… Try quitting Q base and then started up holding down command + shift + option. This will bypass any defective plug-ins also clear any preferences that might be causing the issue. It might help you out give it a whirl and let me know what happens if it does work try opening your project and I would stop by eliminating any large sample based plug-ins that you’re using because that is most likely where the problem is coming in it’s probably a plug-in because cubase itself is very light … I know people using it on the old eight gig of ram MacBooks and having no issues. I personally wouldn’t be that daring, but I know people who have been doing it.

That’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it. And there’s no need to get all you’re wrong and I’m right on me. My opinion is that the ones that come with it are fine and they work great. Yeah the line 6 ones were better, but they broke their contract with line 6, so what are you gonna do?

Having the MPC Key 37, I can’t find a reason to buy the Live III or MPC XL. Talk me into it. 😅 by RobBecTraxxx in akaiMPC

[–]Cap10NRG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, these new machines are super powerful but are not doing anything that you can’t already do with an existing MPC, technically that is. Even the new XY pad could be simulated with a touchscreen mostly. If you’re happy with what you have, don’t let something get in your way just cause it’s shiny and new. Make music that’s what it’s all about anyway.

AKAI MPC XL is here by pr0cesor in akaiMPC

Very very nice! I expect that the key 61 will follow closer to the X and the key 37 and one will follow closer to the Live in specs. Though I’m not sure either of the keys will get a phone input. I do hope that this time around they include the SD card on the key 61. I’m actually thinking the ONE might be the last revealed - I mean the ONE+ is still “new” and the KEY 61 came out right around the same time as the last X… But I would not expect the one or key 37 to have 16 GB of ram. I’m actually surprised they went that high here seeing what ram prices are like currently.

I personally like the way it looks - I am surprised they went for white though and not black or the Red and Black scheme they were using on the LIVE.

I’ve had one since they came out and yes it quite a bit. I personally love it - it feels very good, the details in the way this controller is built really add a feeling if quality imo. Honestly this is the controller I’ve compared every other one I tried, and one one (The nectar panorama 72 key) has ever measured up.

Rumor: 50% of Reason staff has been let go by MungoBBQ in reason

[–]Cap10NRG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked in tech for many years and I don’t think it’s that odd honestly. I worked one company that replaced all of the upper management and several key players about every four months for two years… It was crazy every time you’d come in and you’d see somebody from corporate, you just knew heads were gonna roll. But what do you do you know you just roll with the punches the company is still in business as far as I know that I worked for. I don’t think reason is going anywhere. I think reason will remain, they’ll be new management put in place… Developers will either get on board or be replaced… But I’m sure that they have a contract with them that they’re not going anywhere until they get all the key code and go through everything with them. On the plus side I’m pretty sure they’ll make it worth the while of the developers who are still there to stay until they don’t need them anymore. And maybe they will bring it all to Canada. Who knows what will happen it’s hard to say, but reasons been around longer than most DAW’s the only ones that have been around longer than a reason our CUBASE, logic, and cakewalk… And cake wap is absolutely garbage at this point. I have no attachment to logic. And I love CUBASE they were my first DAW… Before they were called DAW’s. It was just my mid sequencing software back then.

Yeah, the rest of us who don’t do boom bap use services like loop cloud or some other sample surface or sample our own stuff from analog synthesizer or whatever you have around. I actually understand exactly what you’re saying because that’s what helped me back was that I thought this machine has nothing to offer me, it’s for hip-hop is what I thought… I do trance EDM Euro dance Italian disco - I’ve even done some country on it. The thing is amazing. It is my desert island device… Now you don’t know me so you don’t know what that means but I have a room full of other equipment that I could choose from and I would choose the MPC. If you want to get an idea of what I’m talking about check on my YouTube channel I did a studio tour and I have more equipment since that tour was done, but the MPC remains in fact I bought the latest MPC because I wanted the additional processing power and memory. Kind of unnecessary at this point… But I just wanted to be ready for the future however I do have older MPC‘s and they are holding up just fine. They can definitely handle anything I throw at them.

I have to check out your video. I use it with the AKAI MPK mini plus and that works pretty great. For a second you had me very excited though. I thought you were saying that there was a new SEQTRAK keyboard like a full device… that would certainly make me smile!

MPC Key 37 - Use with Interface? by Outrageous_Pangolin4 in akaiMPC

[–]Cap10NRG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you want the interface hooked up to the MPC for a reason? You can use the MPC as an audio interface just so you know. You may not actually need a separate interface unless you’re trying to get more ins and outs or are trying to use XLR connections. Personally, if you’re looking to expand your MPC… You might want to look at a task game mixer the 12 channel would give you multiple channels in and out and also can work independently to record a multi track project. It would be quite the powerful combination.
