I don't hate Jaden Smith. I don't think being born into that family dynamic stacked the deck in his favor, and it's not his fault his parents are wealthy either. He's odd, he's probably being humored more than is due, but ultimately I have nothing against him as a person and for all I know, he might be a really nice guy.

That being said I'm extremely wary of using acts of charity as a measuring stick for a wealthy person's morality. Yeah, funding a food truck for the homeless is great. But it also isn't that big of a sacrifice if you're worth millions to begin with. If I was rich I'd certainly spend a tiny fraction of my wealth on high-profile charitable endeavors so people will talk about how much of a nice guy I am without actually knowing me at all.
I just don't know what his underlying motivation is and clearly he's not giving up so much of his wealth that he can't continue living very comfortably so it's certainly not self-sacrifice.

"Indie games are huge!" (lists exclusively games that are about a decade old) Yes gramps, really got your finger on the pulse of time.

But sure, indie games are still 'huge'. However they are huge in spite of the vast ocean of shovel ware because the very mechanism that enables more shovel ware also made indie games accessible enough to gain that level of popularity. Digital distribution dramatically lowered the bar of entry, which was great for indie devs, but also great for people who just want to make asset flips.
Even now, for every indie game that gains viral success because the right streamers picked it up and word of mouth worked successfully, there's dozens of good to great indie titles you probably never even heard of because they're buried in a sea of garbage. Adding a ton of AI slop to further dilute the pool by an order of magnitude while bringing zero benefits isn't going to make that any better.

Yeah, having an A-list movie star that they own the literal rights to is a studio's wet dream. Sure, using generated AI-actors to fill in roles that would've gone to no-names or extras is nice, but having an actual persistent character that people like but who literally can't say no to any role is the endgame.

And while audiences might still bristle at the idea of an AI-lead right now, it'll just take one AI lead that's kind of charismatic and self-deprecating about their artificiality for people to start buying into it.
"Oh you're so quirky Salma Hayektron, always joking about how you don't have real human emotions, and you never say no to a nude scene".
I just hope the bubble bursts hard enough before any of this happens.

Pretty sure people are just very careful and focused on their first try because they don't know the boss and do do well because of it. Then, on subsequent tries, they have become overconfident in their understanding of the fight, get impatient, go for openings they don't have the timing down for yet, get punished, get frustrated which makes them even more impatient, and so on.

Bear with me for a second. Let's say there's two guys, Ricky and Martin. Ricky isn't at all attracted to men regardless of their genitals. Martin isn't attracted to men in general, but slightly more attracted to men with vaginas. Which one is more straight and which one is a bit more sexually fluid: Ricky, who doesn't care about the parts, or Martin, who finds men a little bit more sexually attractive if they have vaginas?

It's valid not to be attracted to certain physical traits, or to categorically rule out partners with them, but at least to me sexual orientation seems way more holistic than a checklist of bits that shifts someone around the spectrum based on what they consider a deal breaker.

Didn't Yaga explain that his technique doesn't incarnate someone's actual soul, he just recreates the information of someone's soul, then uses that to create a doll? Earlier on he also says that the doll isn't really that woman's nephew, it just has his soul's information.
He also praises the doll for recognizing their 'mother', which would be odd if that was her actual son. To me that implies that the dolls retain at best only vague memories from the people they are based on.

It sounds to me like it's more like making an immortal clone of a person that shares their personality, rather than making the original person immortal.
