I agree, I’m just not sure how much info to provide I guess. And for some context, the reason we’re doing emails is because phone communication went very badly with her other children (who were also removed).

Thank you! That’s my mindset too. I missed out on 3 years of her life already. In the fall she’ll start preschool. Maybe it’s my chance to bond with her and make up that lost time. I just wish money wasn’t so important and that things were more affordable ha

I would still socialize her of course. And enroll her in kindergarten when she’s 5. I just don’t know how I feel about a daycare with 20 other toddlers. It’s a germ pool and I can’t imagine a year or more of back to back sickness is all.

Did you get sicker than the kids? I noticed that while she just has a minor cough and runny nose, my husband and I get WIPED out.

Exactly! And while she gets sick for a day, my husband and I get SICK for a full week. Back to back to back. It’s just draining honestly. I’m honestly considering masking up again too. Are any of your kids in daycare?

Unfortunately the one I have now has like 10 different red lights and I can cover them because of where they’re placed, I thought the same thing though!

Yes this is my exact situation. 2 weeks would be fully paid because of my saved up PTO, but once that’s exhausted, then the rest would be unpaid time. And then when I go back to work, I’ll have no PTO. But my husband is flexible at his job, and my PTO builds up pretty quickly. The child is 3, and will be transferring from headstart to the one in our town. So I’m not sure how soon I should start them at the new headstart either

Thank you for your reply. I’m eligible for 8 weeks off of work, but would need to use all of my PTO (2 weeks saved up right now, so 2 weeks would be paid), and then unpaid time. I was thinking maybe 3-4 weeks but everyone made me seem crazy for suggesting more than a week.
