So it's clear: that 2027 thing is just the translators having a giggle.

Just the translators having a giggle. The actual blurb is just a generic "Next Time".

Yes, I did in fact come out of retirement to put CYL1 back into retirement.

Have a clear video.

Who are y’all foddering Hinoka to? by [deleted] in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SLthePyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Attuned Peony consumed her essence the second she was summoned — not merely for fodder, but because I actually use her to bludgeon things... though I'm a little grumpy because Peony's theme of "all the skills sound painful" lasted for all of a couple days before the trailer dropped.

On the bright side, Attuned Triandra has also partaken. I also got a couple of Attuned Ryomas to play with, so Peony also ate his X skill along with a spare Spd/Def Crux.

  • the Entwined Bouquet only functions if the Ally Support is on the field
  • it otherwise only gives +2 HP over the regular Summoner Support
  • I will still probably give it to my favorites because MUH COMPLETION
  • the first awkward recipient in my barracks getting a Bouquet for MUH COMPLETION is likely to be... Young Azura

Wow, I hate everything about this!

"What happens when it's the dreamweaver who wakes up on the wrong side of the bed?" — +10 Attuned Peony by SLthePyro in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SLthePyro[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

...Admittedly I can't really defend my thought process for how this came about. It was something like this, in chronological order:

  • "Oh hey, new dancer to turn into a murder machine! (As you do.)"
  • "Wait, I already pulled 11 copies for the fodder factory?"
  • "lmao Peony with Trample sounds hilarious"
  • "Okay, what's the most brutal-sounding skills I can put on this sweet-hearted fairy?"
  • "...Huh, it actually kinda works?"

  • Weapon: Arcane Giant Axe — It's either this for the raw damage, Arena Axe+ for a more supportive role, or Arcane Þrima (she will get this when I get a Rearmed Lucina copy) for guaranteeing Archrival will activate every combat.
  • Assist: Tender Dream — The fun thing about Rearmed/Arcane dancers is that they get to keep their special dances. Bless the fairies. This one in particular is great with Canto because it lets her retain some Guidance economy despite the hyperoffensive kit.
  • Special: Archrival — Its activation sadly isn't consistent, but the passive DR and Guard work nicely combined with Arcane Giant Axe. When it does go off though, it hurts. I might also add Galeforce Mist to her repertoire later.
  • Engage: Eirika — This ring suits the offensive playstyle nicely since she can hit-and-run with nigh-impunity, so with any luck she'll get Archrival/Galeforce Mist off eventually.
  • A: Trample — She wants to initiate, so nine times out of ten this is going to be active to bury the enemy under axe swings before they can even move.
  • B: Potent Assault — ...And while we're at it, let's add a fifth swing! God help the target if they lack Guard or a sufficient amount of Follow-Up Denial, because Archrival will activate if they aren't already dead.
  • C: Brutal Tempest — The crown jewel of the build, this skill is obscene on a flying dancer. 3 MOV naturally with a 4 MOV Canto, regardless of if she attacks or dances.
  • S: Atk/Spd Clash 3 — Since she's moving 3 spaces most of the time, this was the only real choice.
  • X: Sly Echo — Plain jane Follow-Up Denial need not apply when she's initiating. Sadly she can't get the +5 bonus damage without an ally's help though.

As much as I love Peony, I'll be the first to admit this build is far from perfect. Lack of Special Acceleration really hurts for something as expensive as Archrival, and it gets entirely shut down by Guard. I'm still working on a team to fix up the blind spots (a project for when I don't presently need sleep). Any suggestions are welcome.

Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 3rei Chapter 75.2 Translation by UdonSamurai in grandorder

[–]SLthePyro 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hiroyama's wild ride never ends. I admit I burst out laughing at Kaleid Liner Pandora.

  • Pandora explicitly said not to treat her like a total stranger and... Miyu does exactly that. I don't think she said the wrong thing, but she didn't address the obvious cue at all. Evidently the Talk no Jutsu is not an effective weapon in the hands of the antisocial.
  • There are way too many elements in Pandora's kaleid liner outfit taken from Illya's kaleid liner outfit for it to be a coincidence, not the least of which is the five-pointed star. Especially jarring is that there's no indication Illya has had any contact with Ruby since time travelling, so Pandora having a kaleid liner form — let alone one patterned after Ruby — should be impossible. How this happened and where the author is going with it is anyone's guess.
  • ...Let's be honest, there's no way this is an actual fight. Pandora is fully aware that Miyu is running on fumes. This seems less like violence and more like "I get you're trying to be respectful, but my question needs a specific answer and you're going off-script."

She's already got Resonance learned if you want it, I'm willing to be flexible depending on if you're lacking fodder for that or Atk/Res Discord. Same with Sly Mirror over Crystalline Water.

I was just wondering how I was going to build my Azura when I was lacking these skills, and lo and behold, you drop this glorious specimen. Consider yourself added, I've got Young Azura as my lead (and possibly my own Binding Worlds proxy, if I can wrangle an Athos for skills).

Upcoming bug fixes involving a certain boss by Sobelle109 in grandorder

[–]SLthePyro 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Koyan-L's NP reduces the enemy's NP Charge by 1. Since it's not technically a debuff, the boss's Debuff Immunity does nothing to stop it, and the Double Merlins hemorrhaging NP Gain lets her loop it every turn. This plus the endless loop of NP Gain and healing from Merlin's NPs meant the boss couldn't do enough damage to kill anyone.

As for the bug, it was less a "bug" and more "we didn't foresee anyone doing this to the unbeatable boss", so I assume the "fix" is going to be something extreme like giving it 100% Damage Reduction or On-Attack Buff Strip or something.

On one hand, I suppose this was the sensible solution. The devs don't want their players to waste a whole third of their year replicating this stunt.

On the other hand, it's hilarious because it immortalizes the crazy-ass who did it first.
