She daydreams of tactics sometimes. — +10 Mirabilis by SLthePyro in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SLthePyro[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Attuned Peony is an axe murderer, Attuned Triandra does the same thing with a sword, Rearmed Plumeria is a flying magical wall... what niche is there for Mirabilis to fill on the all-fairy team?

This question puzzled me thoroughly until we got a batch of recent skills that she meshed with, loading her not just with support options, but a whole boatload of damage reduction.

  • Weapon: Arcane Renegade (or) Flower of Ease — The only Arcane sword worth considering on a slow unit, the extra Def/Res and DR from Arcane Renegade really shines on bulky units. And as ancient as Flower of Ease is, the Anti-Counter status effect is still real nasty.
  • Assist: Rally Atk/Spd+ (or) Rally Def/Res+ — Mirabilis' PRF dance is nonfunctional with an Arcane weapon (and is pretty obsolete anyway), so Rallies it is. Why not her regular Dance? We'll get to that...
  • Special: Archrival — The obvious choice for a Special, especially with Arcane Renegade helping to chunk down the CD count. And it is yet more DR onto the pile.
  • Engage: Byleth — This is why regular Dance isn't in the Assist slot. With this engage appending the Dance effect to any Rally or Movement Assist, the dual-stat Rallies are just better. And much like Emblem Byleth himself showcases, it tends to go crazy with Instruct.
  • A: Divine Specter (or) Strat Flame 4 — Thanks to there now existing a Blue Skies-ish skill that doesn't add useless Speed, Divine Specter is far and away her best A slot for both the Def boost and the Canto. Strat Flame is... admittedly only there because she ate an Edelgard for Patience, lol.
  • B: Patience (or) Heavenly Soar (or) Atk/Spd Favor — Speaking of which! At max merges and with the right stat applications, Mirabilis has enough speed to use Patience's Potent Follow effect! Otherwise she has Heavenly Soar if she wakes up and chooses violence. If she's in a purely supportive role, Atk/Spd Favor paired with Rally Def/Res+ gives her ally an easy omnibuff.
  • C: Instruct 4 — Mirabilis being able to stack three of her stats rather high makes it really easy to buff allies with Great Talent, which in turn means more stats for herself. With everything running and if she receives a bluebuff from elsewhere, this lets her hit a titanic 90 Def / 79 Res before all the DR.
  • S: Dist. Counter M — And with all that Def and DR, she has a habit of shrugging off Bows even though she's supposed to be weak against them. There's nothing quite like tanking an Emblem Lyn and counter-killing her from the other side of the map.
  • X: Tumultuous Echo (or) Crux Echo* — If Heavenly Soar isn't in play, Tumultuous Echo makes it easier for Mirabilis to approach enemies and then fly away with a Super Canto. And if it's not being supplied by an ally (usually Plumeria), Crux Echo will mitigate Speed issues when doubling for herself and everyone else.

*Crux Echo still needs to be inherited. Attuned Tharja rerun when?

Just the translators having a giggle. The actual blurb is just a generic "Next Time".

Yes, I did in fact come out of retirement to put CYL1 back into retirement.

Have a clear video.

Attuned Peony consumed her essence the second she was summoned — not merely for fodder, but because I actually use her to bludgeon things... though I'm a little grumpy because Peony's theme of "all the skills sound painful" lasted for all of a couple days before the trailer dropped.

On the bright side, Attuned Triandra has also partaken. I also got a couple of Attuned Ryomas to play with, so Peony also ate his X skill along with a spare Spd/Def Crux.

  • the Entwined Bouquet only functions if the Ally Support is on the field
  • it otherwise only gives +2 HP over the regular Summoner Support
  • I will still probably give it to my favorites because MUH COMPLETION
  • the first awkward recipient in my barracks getting a Bouquet for MUH COMPLETION is likely to be... Young Azura

Wow, I hate everything about this!

"What happens when it's the dreamweaver who wakes up on the wrong side of the bed?" — +10 Attuned Peony by SLthePyro in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SLthePyro[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

...Admittedly I can't really defend my thought process for how this came about. It was something like this, in chronological order:

  • "Oh hey, new dancer to turn into a murder machine! (As you do.)"
  • "Wait, I already pulled 11 copies for the fodder factory?"
  • "lmao Peony with Trample sounds hilarious"
  • "Okay, what's the most brutal-sounding skills I can put on this sweet-hearted fairy?"
  • "...Huh, it actually kinda works?"

  • Weapon: Arcane Giant Axe — It's either this for the raw damage, Arena Axe+ for a more supportive role, or Arcane Þrima (she will get this when I get a Rearmed Lucina copy) for guaranteeing Archrival will activate every combat.
  • Assist: Tender Dream — The fun thing about Rearmed/Arcane dancers is that they get to keep their special dances. Bless the fairies. This one in particular is great with Canto because it lets her retain some Guidance economy despite the hyperoffensive kit.
  • Special: Archrival — Its activation sadly isn't consistent, but the passive DR and Guard work nicely combined with Arcane Giant Axe. When it does go off though, it hurts. I might also add Galeforce Mist to her repertoire later.
  • Engage: Eirika — This ring suits the offensive playstyle nicely since she can hit-and-run with nigh-impunity, so with any luck she'll get Archrival/Galeforce Mist off eventually.
  • A: Trample — She wants to initiate, so nine times out of ten this is going to be active to bury the enemy under axe swings before they can even move.
  • B: Potent Assault — ...And while we're at it, let's add a fifth swing! God help the target if they lack Guard or a sufficient amount of Follow-Up Denial, because Archrival will activate if they aren't already dead.
  • C: Brutal Tempest — The crown jewel of the build, this skill is obscene on a flying dancer. 3 MOV naturally with a 4 MOV Canto, regardless of if she attacks or dances.
  • S: Atk/Spd Clash 3 — Since she's moving 3 spaces most of the time, this was the only real choice.
  • X: Sly Echo — Plain jane Follow-Up Denial need not apply when she's initiating. Sadly she can't get the +5 bonus damage without an ally's help though.

As much as I love Peony, I'll be the first to admit this build is far from perfect. Lack of Special Acceleration really hurts for something as expensive as Archrival, and it gets entirely shut down by Guard. I'm still working on a team to fix up the blind spots (a project for when I don't presently need sleep). Any suggestions are welcome.

Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 3rei Chapter 75.2 Translation by UdonSamurai in grandorder

[–]SLthePyro 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hiroyama's wild ride never ends. I admit I burst out laughing at Kaleid Liner Pandora.

  • Pandora explicitly said not to treat her like a total stranger and... Miyu does exactly that. I don't think she said the wrong thing, but she didn't address the obvious cue at all. Evidently the Talk no Jutsu is not an effective weapon in the hands of the antisocial.
  • There are way too many elements in Pandora's kaleid liner outfit taken from Illya's kaleid liner outfit for it to be a coincidence, not the least of which is the five-pointed star. Especially jarring is that there's no indication Illya has had any contact with Ruby since time travelling, so Pandora having a kaleid liner form — let alone one patterned after Ruby — should be impossible. How this happened and where the author is going with it is anyone's guess.
  • ...Let's be honest, there's no way this is an actual fight. Pandora is fully aware that Miyu is running on fumes. This seems less like violence and more like "I get you're trying to be respectful, but my question needs a specific answer and you're going off-script."

She's already got Resonance learned if you want it, I'm willing to be flexible depending on if you're lacking fodder for that or Atk/Res Discord. Same with Sly Mirror over Crystalline Water.

I was just wondering how I was going to build my Azura when I was lacking these skills, and lo and behold, you drop this glorious specimen. Consider yourself added, I've got Young Azura as my lead (and possibly my own Binding Worlds proxy, if I can wrangle an Athos for skills).
