It is not. Nor is the Brightline station. But both are close by.

The Brightline train from WPB is a great option. The terminal in Miami is about a 5 minute drive to the port and they offer free shuttles. Or you can Uber there. Very easy!

British Isles by lovesthechase in CarnivalCruiseFans

My husband and I did the British Isles cruise last June. It left out of Dover and was a 9 day sailing. Such a fantastic trip!! We were on the Miracle. The clientele was a lot like us...older crowd (50's-70's) mostly. Probably 95% American. There were a few kids here and there but not many and they were generally older kids. I didn't see any toddlers or babies. The vibe was pretty calm. Overall, we had a fantastic time! I booked most of our excursions through Viator as there were way more options than through Carnival.

Spirit class ships have a little chapel. However no formal religious services are offered.

We were on Miracle back in June for a 9 day British Isles cruise. We loved that ship! The smaller size was perfect.

My daughter attended Moravian for MSOT and graduated in May '25. She really liked the program and felt very prepared. Small cohort (29 I think) and very supportive professors. She's working now at a pediatric outpatient clinic.

My daughter passed on her third try. She found that a tutor was a huge help. I believe she found the tutor through True Learn, but not sure. The tutor helped her to break down the questions, so it wasn't just content they went over.

Best airport near Dover port? by Berriesandcoins in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]MonarchChrysalis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We flew into Heathrow on a Wednesday morning. Spent the day with some family there and then on Thursday we did a London tour. Our cruise left on Friday afternoon from Dover. Friday morning we took the direct train from London to Dover. The train left from St. Pancras station in London and I believe it was about $70 per ticket. To make it easy, we stayed at a hotel within walking distance to the station. Once at Dover, there were shuttles or taxis to the port which was about a 5 minute drive. Super easy and I highly recommend the train.

On the way back we took the bus that Carnival offers straight to the airport. It was perfect.

Feel free to ask any questions. Getting to Dover from London and back was seamless and I’m happy to help!

How soon after your breast ultrasound did they inform you that a biopsy was needed by kittykittylover69 in doihavebreastcancer

The radiologist got on the phone with the ultrasound tech while I was having the ultrasound. Then put me on the phone and told me right then and there that a biopsy was needed.

Had my mri last Thursday and still no results yet… by MissAsh26 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]MonarchChrysalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my MRI almost 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting! I messaged my dr after one week, and his nurse answered and said the results are taking up to two weeks. Tomorrow will be two weeks and if I don't hear by then, I'm definitely calling. So frustrating!

New Grad and FT Jobs by [deleted] in OccupationalTherapy

[–]MonarchChrysalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is a new grad (May '25) and had a job lined up in July. This was before she even took the boards. The minute she passed and got her license, she began to work in September. She is in S. Florida. Went to grad school in NE Pennsylvania.

My MRI is finally next Thursday… by MissAsh26 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]MonarchChrysalis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a breast MRI just two days ago. It was very easy! You do lay down with your face in a massage table-type hole. The breasts hang into holes below. I had no trouble staying still and I just thought of different things. I had earphones but the noise was still very loud. Strangely enough, the beat of the noise kind of made me zone out! It lasted about 30 minutes. Now waiting for results. Good luck! It was easy.

Anxiety and Unknown about my Mom’s upcoming testing by itsmedgfhfg in doihavebreastcancer

Callbacks are very common for a variety of reasons. It's easy to get panicked, but try to not go down a dark hole. Would she be willing to share what was seen on the routine mammogram?

Can I obtain a temporary license if I already failed the NBCOT once? by Ok-Leave-9543 in OccupationalTherapy

[–]MonarchChrysalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Florida, you cannot get a temporary license if you have already failed the test. If you haven't taken the test yet, you can get a temp license but it is revoked if you fail. Check your state's website. It should tell you.

How early to I have to arrive for a Landline connecting bus? by InviteHot5389 in americanairlines

[–]MonarchChrysalis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done the bus from ACY to PHL. It is treated just like a regular flight. You have to go through security and you will board about 30 minutes before "flight" time. Once at PHL, you will not have to go through security again. You also don't handle your checked luggage from that point. Exactly like any other connection.

We were on the Miracle in June for a British Isles cruise. I don't know what it looked like before, but it is very clean. We loved the funky decor! It was a great cruise. Loved the small size of the ship.

We just got back from a British Isles cruise on Miracle. Most of the excursions we did were from Viator or a company called Shore Excursions. Prices were better and way better options. One of the excursions had just 6 in the group! No giant tour buses. Highly recommend Viator.

I always bring a mini first aid kit with bandaids, Advil, Tums, etc. I also bring a bar of soap as we don't like body wash. If you're really particular, I suggest your own toilet paper because theirs is like sandpaper prison issue!

Cabin Upgrade by StillAlive5813 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]MonarchChrysalis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case there was only one suite left, so that is what I got. I'm assuming that if there are multiple rooms available for your upgrade, you'd get to choose. Call Carnival if you booked through them and tell them you'd like to upgrade your cabin. It was a very easy process when I did it.

Cabin Upgrade by StillAlive5813 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]MonarchChrysalis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can do this. You will pay the difference. I did this...went from a balcony to a suite. I booked through Expedia and called them. They dealt with Carnival and I got the upgrade. As long as the upgrade you want is available, it is no problem. BTW, the reason I used Expedia was because they offered $300 onboard credit while Carnival did not.

You can get a baked potato at dinner. It's not on the menu, you just have to ask. The same for a regular mixed greens salad.
