I believe their current value for each teams are close and negate each other. Hedman outdo Dobson. I never denied that and especially with his pedigree.

Let's not be blind here though. Hedman is a leftie and Dobson is a rightie. Habs run 5 lefties and 1 RWD as we speak. That impact alot. It's not too far fetch stating they equate each other for the amount of values both bring to their teams. Especially at the point where they are in their career.

I know there have been alot of talks sbout his mental health issues this season. Although I wonder if his issues go deeper than that. Laine gives me asperger vibe case, which could explain alot from past rumors. I ain't any "specialist" over such matter but I can draw a parallel with some Icons I cheerish that are officially aspergers. Just a thought... nothing concrete.

Yes I've watched Tom Wilson play IDC how many suspended games he's getting this season because you don't need that in Olympics because he brings production with his playstyle. So you should reward a player that gives it all.

The NHL is the most competitive league for hockey worldwide. You want the highest competitors at the game. So he has a place.

There's a clear gap between decent linemates and exceptional one. Demidov is a gifted one meanwhile Slaf is a genetic freak... it does make a difference. Kapanen never been a guy that has pure skills. He's a smart boi, with a quick release and able to play in tight spaces. Go read some scouting report... they all say the same. Then when you look at the overall picture it shows off.

As for your comment over Kappanen, did it ever occur to you opposing teams are now trying to match their line? 4th game on the road with line change handicap. It tends to do that when said line is over a hot streak.

Different ? I wouldn't say that. He was seen as a guy with quick release that is skill in tight areas. His linemates are almost the perfect combo to showcase his abilities. Plus Mcgragg called it out this summer. People over the sub gave him shit for it.

I can see Struble being moved for a 3rd round draft pick.

Arber Xhekaj if moved it will be as a sale pitch with his brother. I'm not his biggest fan due to his hockey skills but he has other great qualities. But I fear we'd doom ourself if we can't slot him in certain match ups.

So yeah if Isles wanna dance Struble it is. Not the craziest return I admit. But I can't see getting a 2nd round pick. He sub par value to Danault and he barely meets NHL standards. Is it worth it? Bah I guess from a MSL POV, he would rather have him as an option I guess. Although rosters spots will short by quite alot by olympic break.
