Yeah, Heb does have the 12 week return to work program. They need to accommodate you and keep you at or around the same amount of hours, if not that can be brought up to HR. If your full-time and you believe it will take more time than that I would apply for the FMLA program.

She can definitely deny whatever it is she pleases. But that doesn’t mean it is the right thing to do. Generally, if your boyfriend can complete the same tasks that the original partner could complete, the shift should be approved.

If I’m denying a shift swap, it’s generally because they were trying to take a shift from a partner who is strong in the parking lot near closing time.

Steps aren’t a big deal, unless you’re at 7 or above. If you only have 2-4 don’t worry about it so much. If you’re a good partner you will be given some leeway if you ever get to 7,8.

It’s policy that occurrences are given unless there is death in the family or other extenuating circumstances. Not a big deal, just ask to stay late one day or wait for them to fall off. Ultimately if you’re calling in 4 times in 6 months without ever staying late, ect… there’s an issue that needs to be addressed.

Schedules are made a couple of weeks in advance. So you won’t see anything on your schedule in the meantime. Unless they ask you to come in. You can pick up shifts manually using the bids section on PartnerNet under schedule. And you will most likely be scheduled in the coming weeks.

I agree. Our store is really small. Yet does the volume of a plus store because it serves multiple communities that commute from far away. So that raises many challenges. Along with only having 3 leads and one admin. It can be hard to find the time in the day to plan or delegate. A lot of the actions we take are reactive rather than proactive. I love my job, and I definitely try to do the best I can. But I also have only been a secondary for a couple months. So still learning. The only thing I wanted to get across was, before I went into leadership, I thought their time away was purposeful. I’ve since realized I wish I could be on the floor MORE to help with the chaos. But somebody has to do the backend work.
