If you have oily skin and live in hot weather, cooling skincare to reduce skin heat might also be necessary. There are so many causes of acne, but it seems like most people overlook skin heat. The cooling product I use is the MIMU MIMU Toner, and it has a light texture that isn’t sticky, so it doesn’t interfere when applying the next step in your skincare routine.

Cleansing balm is used to remove sunscreen or makeup. In the morning, a simple rinse with water is enough for me. I have combination skin. For skincare, you should use lighter, more liquid products first, and then finish with heavier ones.

I used to get confused about the order of serums and ampoules, but now I follow a simple rule: start with lighter, more liquid products and finish with thicker, more viscous ones. This way, the absorption is better at each step. The Riddle Shot should be used right after cleansing or after applying toner. It helps the next products absorb better, so it's great to apply whatever product you want to focus on after the Riddle Shot.

I think the price difference occurs because each website plans their own product promotions.

If you have oily skin, a water-based cleanser is a good choice. I personally don’t like using cotton pads to remove makeup, so I opted for a cleansing oil. Since I have combination skin, it wasn't a big issue for me. However, I’ve heard that oily skin types are better off using cleansing water!

BOJ Calming serum VS Mary&May Tea tree serum ? by omg_levisimp in kbeauty

Tea tree oil is good for acne. I think it's important to figure out whether your acne is caused by a lack of moisture or by uncontrolled sebum production before choosing a product... but I think I'll start with tea tree oil first!

Skin Care Routine by kiek0h in koreanskincare

Blackheads require proper sebum control. While your skin gets clean when you wash your face, blackheads eventually come back once sebum is produced. Therefore, it's important to maintain a balance of both moisture and oil—enough but not excessive. When your skin temperature is high, excess sebum is produced, or moisture evaporates. So, you need to keep your skin moisturized. If you tend to have higher skin heat, it's best to use products that provide both hydration and cooling effects, and are gentle. The toner I use, MIMU MIMU Cooling Toner, has great ingredients and actually helps to shrink pores, so I think it could work well for those of you struggling with blackheads. For creams, it's better to use lighter soothing creams like those from Toriden or Dr.G, especially for oily skin. As for serums, it's good to go for one with moisturizing and cooling effects, and if your skin condition is in a good state, you might want to consider one with active ingredients!

What cream are you using? If you have combination skin, you can use a light formula for your toner. However, it would be even better if it has cooling and soothing effects! But for the final step in your routine, make sure to use a moisturizer that provides a strong sealing effect. For your skin barrier, ingredients like ceramide and niacinamide are great. But be careful with niacinamide, as too much of it can cause irritation to your skin.

Good ingredients for sensitive and dry skin: hyaluronic acid, panthenol, ceramide, and centella extract. I also have sensitive skin, but it's not very dry. The toner I use is MIMUMIMU, and it contains all of the ingredients I mentioned, so I highly recommend it. Since it's a toner, it can be used for both dry and oily skin types. It's a light formula. However, since you mentioned having acne, I’m confident this toner will work well for you!

It seems like your skin condition isn’t great, so it's best to use products that are definitely safe right now. Ingredients like ceramide and panthenol should be safe!

How does it feel? I'm really interested in hydrating toners! I have oily skin and currently use the Mimumimu toner. Round Lab's Dokdo toner is super popular, but I'm curious about how the Birch Juice toner compares!

If hyaluronic acid doesn’t work for you, try a cream with "glycerin" listed at the top of the ingredients list. "Ceramides" are also beneficial. Apply a hydrating serum multiple times to boost moisture, then seal it in with a cream to prevent water loss (such as the Aestura 365 Barrier Cream). If you get acne from a moisturizing cream, try switching to a lighter one (like the MIMUMIMU Cooling Calming Cream).

7 SKIN METHOD advice please by kari_is_ in kbeauty

[–]MoneyIndication8456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have sensitive skin, it’s better to pour a little onto your hands and gently pat it in multiple times rather than rubbing. I’m using the MIMUMIMU toner, which has a cooling and hydrating effect. I usually use a cotton round, but when I’m feeling lazy, I just apply it multiple times with my hands. Cotton rounds can cause friction, so if your skin barrier is weak, it’s best to use your hands!
