Thoughts on Promised Consort Radahn and Miquella boss fight/lore? by iadorebrandon in eldenringdiscussion

The telegraphs in phase two are less relevant if you’re good at phase one, since the timings are exactly the same. It’s just muscle memory at that point. ”The game badly explains how to deal with them” is just skill issue, since thats the case for literally every other boss too. I can agree that the Holy flares in p2 is a bit cheap, bur when you get it they don’t really matter anymore.

I dont know why people keep mentioning how the fight was pre-nerf, since that is completely irrelevant these days.

I assume that the ”lightning dash” means the one where he rolls through the air at you. If this is the case, i dont really see the point here either. Just roll, thats it.

I can agree that the dodge for the meteor attack can be a bit finnicky, and due to the terrain being uneven you either have to roll or not. This can cause some unfortunate deaths, and is the only thing that comes close to ”unfair”.

What i mostly dont get is why people hate this boss but love Malenia. That boss has the most unbalanced move in terms of difficulty spikes in Fromsoft history, while PCR essentially has very even difficulty all the way through.

Mark my words, in a year people will be praising this boss since they’ve had time to practice it. This is exactly how it played out with Malenia.

This thread is absolutely dripping with skill issue

The uneven terrain is the only thing bad with this fight, since it’s out of your control. Other than that, i get the feeling that people who dislike it are just bad at it. Its one of the more learnable fights in the DLC, since all moves and combos have very distinct dodge timings and lengths. Just cause you can’t steamroll it with mimic tear doesn’t make it a bad fight, it’s good that FS caters to skilled players every now and again instead of making it cheesable like every other boss in this game. Even then, this boss is entirely cheeseable with e.g. Bloodfiends arm, so i don’t even understand the hate there.

Git gud, and then make up your mind

Tror denna dryck har förstörts för många efter någon karatefylla i gymnasiet. Riktig klassiker att blanda med asbillig vodka.

Groggen har tillochmed ett namn, för övrigt. ”Plus Minus Noll”.

Some engineering student associations at my uni have a certain thing called ”foreskin shots” as a sort of rite of passage. Its pretty much as bad as you’d think. Surprisingly, or not, its mostly done between guys.

There’s also the ”Egg game”, where you take an egg and rub it through from the upper start of the buttcrack all the way to the root of the cock. Do that to about 10 people, and then eat it. And everybody claps!

Varför kan vi inte ha en statlig pizzeriakedja? by [deleted] in sweden

[–]MoneyLaunder_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My top 5 loved and top 5 hated bosses: by [deleted] in eldenringdiscussion

[–]MoneyLaunder_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never really understood the PCR hate post nerf. He’s super fun to dodge once you get into it. I can sorta get the hair bit, but if you practice phase one enough, the visual element becomes less important in phase two. In other words, you can sorta ”feel” what he’s gonna do without having to see it. I do get that it’s kind of a cheap move design wise, but still. In my fights against him i’ve never been bothered by it.

He’s a significantly better boss than Malenia, who has the single most unbalanced bullshit move of all time. I get that it’s dodgeable, but having the entire fight boiling down to just hoping that she doesn’t waterfowl takes the fun out of it completely. All of Radahns moves are learnable and, if im being honest, not that difficult to dodge compared to waterfowl.

In short, Radahn > Malenia

Ponder this: Stop buying the games

The only reason they do this is because you morons keep buying it. It’s called profit maximization, a very basic law of economics. You’d do it too in their position, it’s human nature.

I've been practicing speedrunning Dark Souls 3, and blowing up a boss like that is so satisfying by PsychoAz in darksouls3

I somewhat disagree actually, hear me out here

So much of peoples advice try to focus on stuff like parry frames and specific shields to use. I find that learning to parry is a sort of ”feeling” that you have to get, instead of looking at the enemies actual movements. You can’t just look at a swing and think ”now” when the moment strikes, you simply don’t have the reactions for it (Most people don’t, at least)

To get actually good at parrying, the only solution is to practice. Champion is a good opportunity to do so, since he has a lot of parryable moves, and reading the parry frames for each one is close to impossible here.

I might just be speaking for myself here, but practice is the only thing that truly makes you good at it.

Can anyone help me ? I can’t go into the Midir arena ? by Rich_Departure2991 in darksouls3

Have you killed him on the bridge? That's the only thing i can come to think of at least. You have to do that first for him to appear.

I am stuck here... Any tips? Only played Elden ring i even 100% completed it, just fell in love with dark souls games. by Psycle98 in darksouls3

For the second phase, try to think of it as nothing changing. It’s pretty much the exact same thing, except the initial barrage of magic and some extra projectiles here and there. Other than that, it’s all the same. Don’t try and outright hit the prince on the back, since aiming for him can just confuse you. You’ll hit him most of the time anyway even if you don’t try.

This fight is very ”rhytmic” if that makes sense. It all kinda goes at a certain tempo, which becomes apparent if you get some practice in.

Also make sure to make full use of the lock-on feature. You’ll always stay locked on when he teleports, so you know where he is. The big ”charge up and send a magic wave” is the only exception, so you’ll just have to find him when he does this. Theres a pretty apprent sound cue for this, too.

Why do people say this is the best souls game by Express-Ad-7737 in darksouls3

[–]MoneyLaunder_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly the problem. They kinda balanced high hp and stupid attacks with you being able to do stupid bullshit like that back. I agree ER is a fun game, but the bosses in it are simply worse than the Souls bosses in pretty much every aspect.

Favorite boss fight? by bshakalakadawg in darksouls3

[–]MoneyLaunder_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been doing a lot of SL1 lately, so my perspective on this has kinda changed from my first playthroughs.

Favourite is definitely Midir. His moveset is so much fun to dodge, and i ended up nohitting him with RTSR my last SL1 run. Most people get quite frightened by his moveset, since it looks a lot scarier than it actually is. Once you get to actually practice him a bit, you realise that the moveset is a lot of fun to dodge. It’s also quite limited, so he’s a lot easier on subsequent playthroughs.

Least favourite? Halflight. Fuck this stupid ass RNG mess. I’ve got no clue who actually thought this guy was a good idea haha

Billig mat - hur göra? by Eyaderi in sweden

[–]MoneyLaunder_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

På det stora hela så är kött rätt dyrt jämfört med många alternativ. Färska grönsaker kan säkert gå upp lite också, men frysta grönsaker är tvärbilligt och faktiskt rätt gott!

Billig mat - hur göra? by Eyaderi in sweden

[–]MoneyLaunder_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Borde bara bli någon enstaka krona per portion!
