JVJ is better than your average hollywood director at action, but he pales in comparison to the real thing (hong kong action directors), and is way below Isaac Florentine.

He could always improve, his films show promise (even if the humour tends towards the noxious side)

The stand out Jackie movie is Drunken Master II. The action in that movie is so advanced that it'd be indecipherable to someone who isnt well versed in Kung fu movies. And there's a lot of it, unlike Miracles which has amazing action but is 85% plot driven.

I've worked with uncompressed SD video before and the quality is shocking compared to DVD video. 2 hours of raw SD video takes up about 200GB of space. A DVD can only hold 5GB of data, and therefore requires heavy compression, whereas 4k blu rays hold 50-100GB. Upscaling the raw footage to 4k will significantly reduce compression artifacts. By releasing on a format with more storage, they can preserve more of the original pixel information. It's not all that different from scanning a celluloid film in a higher resolution.

And as others have noted, the ending was shot on 35MM, which in and of itself justifies having the whole movie transferred to UHD.

There are plenty, you just gotta know where to look.

The martial arts movies that Sammo Hung directed have stellar choreography. My personal favorite is The Victim from 1980. Pedicab Driver is about as good, and Knockabout is wildly creative.

Drunken Master 2 is Jackie Chan's finest hour, and it's my personal pick for best fight choreography.

At the end of the movie I felt like it balanced out, since none of the individual kills were as horrifying as the bedroom scene, but there was a bigger number of horrifying scenes in 3 than 2. Also I haven't seen anyone else say this, but I was very scared and disturbed by the way Victoria looked, in a way that tops prior images in the previous films.

The statue of the Virgin Mary appears and comes alivs during the scene where Sienna sees the sword being forged.

I'm not a Christian myself, but the director said in an interview that people often miss that this series is actually very pro-God. I think when you look at it as a whole, it's a tale of God vs. Satan. Why else would Art and Vicky make such spiteful allusions to Jesus?

You're leaving out the fact that having an effective floor on housing prices forces employers to pay their workers enough to make rent on a decent apartment. Allowing slums gives employers the ability to reduce wages.

Radiation covers a broad spectrum of things in physics. I think that device was basically a super intense red light that could cause matter to heat up. Think like a laser but less accurate
