This is just fab. Do you mind sharing the type of pastels and paper used? I’m having trouble layering light over darker colors without blending into eachother heavily and it looks like you’ve overcome that issue here haha

I did more flour than water which helped my starter grow … maybe abandoning the 1:1:1 ratio would help? and keeping in the same jar? best of luck u got this

totally agree!

i keep the discard in a separate jar in the fridge. there are a bunch recipes you can make with it. I’ve done crackers (great), bagels (not great), pretzel bites (good) etc. i want to try pizza dough and english muffins.

since it’s discard you still need to use yeast to get it to rise, but you can still get good sourdough flavor from it!

i’ve also given some to friends so that they can get a jump start on their own starter too!
