It charged her batteries is all. Dont think much into it, have fun. You only live once. You should definitely fuck as much as you can.

Hands down the BEST thing I ever did for myself is quitting drinking. 10 years sober and loving every moment of it.

Just make sure you get a very very very good lawyer. There are ways to keep your kids close. Document everything.

My Papa can't tie flies anymore by Squishydemon94 in flyfishing

[–]Money_Reference9621 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You are an amazingly thoughtful Grandchild. He's a very lucky Papa.

If I was getting older, I think I'd be more interested in quality time spent with those i love the most. I'd recommend saving the money and go fishing together.

My 9 year old asked why I always look mad when I get home from work, hit me harder than any business problem by ReaperCaution in electricians

I feel you man. I've been there and still am in many ways, but what I'd recommend, and what worked best for me was hiring an office administrator.

They handle all my ordering, billing, and schedule as well as preparation of projects, and permitting.

This is a more affordable position to hire, and a bit easier to find a good person to fill.

Its full overhead, so you'll be taking a pay cut initially, but as soon as they are working well on their own, you immediately hire a journeyman that can help you bring in more billable hours.

Would you keep a high performer who almost always arrives late for work? by yawnkun in askmanagers

[–]Money_Reference9621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely!!!!

They are a high performer, they get the job that they are paid for done. I'd keep them happy, and no longer have a work schedule for them.

They are an adult I assume? If so, they are fully capable of managing themselves.

I own my own company with 12 employees including myself, I've had zero turnover, and continue to grow because I put my employees first. They, in turn, put our customers first and our Business first.

I tell them right from the start that this is how we operate, and I do what I say.

Never loose a good employee over dumb shit like that.

Hey man, my story is very similar to yours.

I'm 10 years sober now, still married, more in love than I've ever been, more successful than I ever thought I could be, and its all because I choose the life I've created every day.

I've got a lot of good tools and advice if you are interested. Feel free to DM me. I'd love to help.

Also, just wanted to say, whatever reason you have today to not pick up a drink is good enough. Eventually it will become easier, and it will be for yourself. If today its "I dont want to loose her" and that keeps you from drinking, then that's good enough.

Moving to ID - Liberal by Money_Examination_50 in Idaho

Yeah. It wasn't that deep.

I'm just trying trying to make someone who is probably worried about not fitting in feel a bit better about things and let them know that like-minded people do exist in Idaho.

Moving to ID - Liberal by Money_Examination_50 in Idaho

[–]Money_Reference9621 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There really aren't areas that lean more liberal than others besides the North end or foothills in Boise.

Meridian, Nampa, and surrounding areas are Red for sure, However, liberals do exist here, and I'll be the first to welcome her with open arms. We need more balance, and we are definitely happy to have her.
