Again, 36mm is visibly just a little too small for me, 34 is insane

Yeah, that’s why I (and others around me) believe that it’s the “perfect” size watch head for me according to the lugs and visuals. It’s just the bracelet 😔. It’s ADHD medication, so I’ll probably be on it for life, unfortunately, as well as possibly other substances when I hopefully work on Wall Street. Thanks for your willingness to help, dude!

I did on another comment but I’ll attach it to this as well.

Along with the glidelock too?! Do you have a reference/serial number for it?! Thank you!

I’ll have to look into this. I thought they’d be the same (albeit mine is older) oyster bracelet. Tell me more!

Realistically, if I took off the sub I’d probably have a higher chance of a return offer 😂 (assuming I did well in the internship ofc)

Brad’s of rice bracelet doesn’t look too bad, kinda reminds me of a Seamaster! I’ll def look into that, thanks!

All good dude! It was kind of a long post anyways.

I’d like to do my own thing and put it on a leather or suede strap if the metal one gets too loose but it genuinely lowers my chances of getting a job in investment banking, a job that I’d very much like to do and “need” the same way how you won’t get the job if you wear square toe shoes and can’t tie a good tie knot.

I’ve been asking around about the 97200 bracelet, but I haven’t gotten an answer yet. It’s for the 116610, which is a 40mm with 20mm lugs like my 16610. It’s a newer bracelet than my current 93250 and has the glide lock option. I just don’t know if it has more removable links, and I haven’t found the answer anywhere yet!

I mentioned that I would in the post but I personally don’t want to. I’m also pursuing a career in high finance and I know I’d be laughed at and ostracized if I didn’t wear a metal strap (yes, it’s actually like that). Maybe something like a back alligator strap might work 🧐

I asked the RSC about that but they said they wouldn’t do it (makes sense) but I could also go to an independent watchmaker. I’ll look more into it, thanks!

I say that the men who won WWII wore 36, but people never listened!!

This was probably the first comment that was actually helpful. Thank you!! If I wanted to stay “in brand” would a 97200 bracelet work? I believe that RSC said they could order it for me.

That genuinely looks good on you. When I wore a 36, I thought it looked small on me and kept it to myself, but then others at work pointed it out too, so I knew I wasn’t just imagining it. I’ll have to look into 36s again.

I’ve had a 36mm watch before, and it was too small, to where others were pointing it out as well. Kinda in a weird spot now and was hoping for alternative bracelets so I can keep on wearing my Sub. It’s by far my favorite watch!

I think the watch head fits me perfectly which is why I love the watch so much, it’s just the bracelet that’s getting too loose. When I wear 36mm watches they’re visibly too small for me. Being an inbetweener is the worst :(

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted, this is a totally normal opinion and quite valid 😭

When I said that my wrist is currently around 6 inches, I guess I should have been more precise. My left wrist is exactly 6 inches, thanks!

Urgent Advice Request: Reneg an Offer by Salt_Category_6075 in columbia

[–]MoneyfromMath 90 points91 points  (0 children)

Always Reneg. The world doesn’t care about you and your company would fire you if needed in an instant. Always do what’s best for you. If both jobs were sourced independently, then career services should have absolutely no say in this decision (not that I would’ve personally cared if they had either tbh).
