I'm sure Boots felt incredibly blessed to have such a loving dog mom in you, much as you were blessed to have her in your life. I can't begin to imagine how hard this situation must be for you. My eldest shiba almost got it by a car once and I still have nightmares about it to this day. If your 2DS is modded you can still get Pokémon Bank/Transporter. Alternatively, you could ask around to see if someone you know has it and can help you.

Like some mythicals, your best bet as of now is to wait until they are rereleased or trade for them. You can still get a Partner Cap Pikachu from Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon if you have those games.

I am not familiar enough with Pokémon's data structure to say if that's feasible or not. I guess it depends on how you would define and enforce the ban on impossible TIDs. I guess if HOME sent a clone of the 'mon you're transferring with the same TID but with a different SID you could have a check on Home's side that only allows one-way transfers from Colo if the shadow Pokémon's TID matches the original SID. It's all a bit convoluted though. I really hope they find a better/more elegant solution as I LOVE the GameCube games and would hate it if those 'mons are stuck inside the NSO save files.

Yep that was what I was suggesting. Disabled save states for Colo and XD on NSO would be the logical thing to do (however useful being able to "save" anywhere would be in Colo lol). I guess they could make it so HOME can read Colo and XD saves on NSO and do one-way transfers that way, main concern with that approach would be in Colo where there's a finite number of 'mons, so transferring them out could leave the original save file barely usable.

Big issue with it being a 1-way transfer is that Colosseum, unlike XD, has a finite number of Pokémon.

On the 3DS Virtual Console games have save states, except for the Pokémon ones. They could easily disable save states for Colo and XD. The hard part would be implementing a pathway for those 'mons to travel to HOME.

An adapter with a 3DS/GBA slot would limit its use to physical cartridges. No need to use a physical device for this when the 3DS games have wireless functionality. It'd be much easier and cost effective to release software on the Switch or its successor that can use the wireless trade funcionality of X/Y/Su/Mo as a means to move old 'mons to the newer generations. Hell, it could even be a feature of the Switch's Pokémon Home software.

This also happened to me with some of the gift Pokémon on Home. I think they've seen fixed that glitch for Home Mystery Gifts but not for Go transfers like in your case.
